Pineapple Beach Club Antigua

We had an absolutely amazing week at Pineapple Beach Club! Our beachfront room was perfect and literally just steps from the beautiful beach. Waking up that close to the ocean was incredible. The beach was beautiful, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the food was great with plenty of options to choose from. We especially loved the relaxed, laid-back atmosphere—it was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and were genuinely sad to leave. We met some wonderful people along the way, which made our trip even more special. Pineapple Beach Club exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely come back. Antigua was amazing, and we can’t wait to return!!!

I’ll start with the cons: -Took about an hour to check in and the reception area is VERY hot, no A/C just fans. Lots of people checking in at the same time and not enough room for everyone to sit down. -Everywhere smelled like sewer at the building where my room is, with the pool next to it -they only open one restaurant per night, one person was smoking a cigarette right outside the restaurant in front of where I was sitting and since it is all open concept that is all I could smell while I ate, it was very unappetizing. The food was just ok. The burger at the snack bar puts cucumber instead of pickles on the burger which was weird. More than once I watched a bird land on the cutting boards they make the food on, and there was no sanitization following that, they simply shooed the bird away and kept using the surface immediately after which was very gross. -Tour desk not helpful as all tours are a minimum 2 people…seems discriminatory for solo travellers to have no options available. -Mini fridge 2 bottles of water, no pop, juice, or beers. Pros: -The room was very beautiful, mostly clean, with a balcony with a gorgeous view…there was an odd wire poking out of the wood beside the ceiling fan though that kept me perplexed all week as to what the purpose was. -Beach was breathtaking and clean all week BUT the day before I left the resort was MASSIVELY hit with sargassum, it was EVERYWHERE. Not the fault of the hotel of course, but it was so bad that they had an excavator digging it and putting it in piles. I’ve never seen so much in my life. -The pools were very nice -There were very cute turtles in a turtle sanctuary on site, and very cute kitties roaming around (3 that I counted) -Fun night activities like trivia and karaoke, they also different things around the resort like board games such as giant chess and scrabble among other games. -love the sound of tree frogs everywhere at nighttime, my favourite sound to sleep to along with the ocean waves -the grounds are very clean and well kept, there is lots of art type pieces and fun signs to look at on the grounds -The highlight of the trip was the kindness of bartenders and staff! All very kind people, it was so nice to get to know them over the week as it was pretty much the same people every day in each of their respective areas. -The BBQ lookout was really cool with all the wooden signs All in all the biggest take away is BEWARE of hidden fees!!! If you book online nowhere tells you that they are charging you and extra fee per day for the resort, extra fees per day for country taxes, and extra fees per day for a charity!!! They don’t tell you in check-in either, then ask you for about 200$ as you’re checking out!!! I was floored!! I have travelled to 20 countries and never in my life have I had this happen anywhere else.

A great resort in Antigua. It is a little removed from the main downtown area and a few excursions on the west side of the island. But it is about 10 minutes from the Stingray excursion which is fantastic. We rented a car so that we could drive to the downtown area for souvenirs and Nicole's Kitchen. I liked the option of having the car, but the resort does offer to coordinate taxi services on location, extra charge for taxis each way. During our stay, we could park in the guest lot free of charge. The staff at the resort is excellent and the best part of the stay. Everyone makes guest feel welcomes and catered to, and they go out of their way to make connections and conversations with their guests. The location is also stunning and the beach is great! I absolutely loved my stay here and cant wait to go back again. The only concern I had was that the room I stayed in smelled a little humid but eventually I got used to it, its likely due to the humidity and beach side access. The food and entertainment options were also good.

My wife and I recently stayed at Pineapple Beach Club with friends from August 14th–20th to celebrate our anniversary, and we had an incredible trip. The property is pristine and exceptionally well-maintained. Our room in the 500 area offered a breathtaking ocean view, and our romantic anniversary dinner at the hilltop gazebo was an absolute highlight. What truly sets this resort apart, though, is the staff. From the warm greeting upon arrival to the attentive restaurant service and help at guest services and the tour desk, everyone went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. A couple of quick tips/suggestions for management regarding off-season dining: Stagger specialty dining schedules: During our week, both Pineapple Grill and Piccolo Mondo were only open on Tuesday evening, forcing guests to choose one and miss out on the other. Spreading their schedules across different days would let travelers experience both. Open The Outhouse daily: The food at The Outhouse is fantastic, and having it open every day would be a huge plus for guests! Overall, it was a memorable vacation with great company and top-notch hospitality. We would love to come back!
