Amazing resort and location - highly recommend

Overall our stay was amazing and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely be returning. We were traveling with our 8 year old daughter and she enjoyed everything from s'mores to the lawn games and sand toys. I especially appreciated that we could have bath bombs sent up to the room each night for her, as she very much enjoyed them and the collectible rubber ducky. We liked that the boat rentals were on property and we were able to take our daughter tubing on the lake. Would be great to add jet ski rentals in the future. We left the property once to explore the area and found that we had everything we needed on property already and enjoyed our relaxing time there. The only negative experience during our stay was during the half-day cabana rental. It really was not at all worth the money. We were scheduled from 9am - 2pm. We arrived on time but the staff did not seem to be ready for guests. It took an hour and a half to get towels. Staff never came by the cabana even after promising to bring by things like grapes, cold towels, waters etc. We had to go to the bar to get our food and drink orders in. Someone came by a couple hours later to bring us water bottles. Food was not available to order until 11am. From our experience on other days, we were much better off sitting under an umbrella and loungers. We were also surprised to find that food and drink service stops early in the day for the pool area yet the pool is open until 9p.

Family Tradition

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

This has become a cherished family tradition over the past five years. We stay at Edgewood from the Fourth of July through the Celebrity Golf Tournament, and it never disappoints. The festivities and fireworks around the holiday are spectacular, and the Celebrity Golf Tournament is always entertaining. We’ve already booked our trip for next year!

Great room... horrible customer service

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My wife and I recently stayed at Edgewood Resort on Monday and Tuesday to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our reservation, at a rate of over $1,100 per night, was made with the expectation of enjoying all the amenities a four-star resort offers. Upon booking, we were not informed that the gourmet lakeside Edge Restaurant would be closed or that we would have no access to the golf course, including practice areas. Each time we brought these issues to the attention to staff, we were told, "Someone should have informed you." We were also repeatedly told that the "upside" was being part of a special celebrity golf tournament. We were instructed to pick up passes on Wednesday morning to walk the course, only to be denied access upon checkout because we were leaving. When I requested to speak with the manager, I was told that the celebrity golf tournament took priority over hotel guests and that nothing could be done. While our room was very nice, the overall customer service, hospitality, and staff accountability were far below the standards expected of a four-star resort. The hotel failed significantly in these aspects. The one exception to our disappointing experience was Matt, our server at the Bistro, whose service was exceptional.

5 star prices for a 4 star experience

This is our third time at this resort and the friends , location , and golf bring us back. This particular trip we booked a lake view room and were given a partial lake view because the stadium seating for the upcoming golf tournament blocked 1/2 our view. We should have been charged for a partial lake view as there were no other rooms but was compensated $100 per night. We also had ants in our $600 cabana which when we told the pool staff they told us to go inside and tell the front desk. really? Me? Lastly I will say the pool service throughout the day and the shuttle transportation and drivers were outstanding. Service has a way to go but again the pricing warrants more.

Great ...just not on the 4th unless you like big crowds!

Can't beat the views! The grounds are always well maintained and the pools location is nice to be able to watch the kids on the grass.
