Edgewood Tahoe is great. Bistro is great. The spa is overpriced and the staff are not any better than what you’d find in Chinatown of any major city. Watch out they will always try to upsell you and steal your hard earned money without proper notification

We stayed at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort for our golf vacation. I highly recommend this luxury resort as we had a wonderful time. The standards are what you expect for a place of this caliber. I enjoyed the very large hot tub next to the large pool which gave you plenty of space without being crowded. The location right next to Lake Tahoe provides great views and a relaxing environment. The golf course was of the highest quality with everything from tee to green impeccably maintained. The fairways were like a smooth carpet. The scenery was unmatched. It was expensive but this was due to the high demand. I would definitely like to golf here again.

Edgewood is a nice property in a beautiful setting, but overall it doesn’t deliver the level of service or value you’d expect at this price point. Service is inconsistent — the valet rushed us while unloading with our three small kids, we had to call multiple times on multiple occasions just to get in-room dining plates picked up, the bar told us they were out of white wine with no idea when it would be restocked, and at various meals our entrées were brought out while we were still eating appetizers. Management was unhelpful when we raised concerns, offering canned responses instead of real solutions, and the $200 dining credit they provided felt insignificant compared to a total bill of thousands of dollars. They’ve also already started loud construction next to the pool, despite advertising it wouldn’t begin until September, so consider another place while this is ongoing and even after. On top of that, you can hear concerts from Caesars in your room at night. With its setting and wonderful spa — the massage I had was fantastic and the facilities are beautiful — Edgewood has the potential to be exceptional, but right now the experience does not match the price.

The resort was gorgeous.!! The service was impeccable!! The staff was very courteous and helpful at all times of the day and night! The shuttle service was a very nice perk. ( and quick) If you don’t go to The Edge restaraunt, you’re missing out!!

We visit Tahoe frequently, though usually in the winter for ski season. We were very excited to enjoy summer on the lake, and when booking Edgewood we were hopeful to make it a “summer home” for future visits. Undoubtedly, the resort is considered luxury, so when we paid a luxury price our expectation was luxury service. From the moment we checked in for our 3 night stay, disappointment followed. To start: at checkin we asked about the room upgrade our card offers. The front desk told us the resort was at full occupancy, so updates weren’t available. Totally understand. Still, once we got to our room, we asked our bellman if we should expect the pool to get busy- and he told us no as the resort capacity was low during our stay. Red flag #1. Now, don’t get me wrong, the space itself is absolutely beautiful- lakefront with private beach access and a quaint pool all nestled amidst the golf course. However, service proved lacking from our first call to request bed rails for our children’s bed. After three calls, split hours to finally 20 min apart (not including the number of calls that went unanswered), housekeeping came with rails that lined flush with the bed and provided no protection from falls. They came back again with a mismatched set- only one of which (if it had been installed properly) would serve its purpose. We ended up stacking piles of pillows in case of a fall and split one kid per adult on each of the two beds. For a resort that claims to be family friendly, I’d have imagined this to be far from an issue. Similarly, the next evening we had a water spill on the bed and had to call three times for sheets to be changed- our kids weren’t getting to bed til 9pm+ each night. Every morning, housekeeping came at 9am and we’d tell them to please return at noon- conversed in Spanish as she spoke to me in Spanish. Still, our room wasn’t made at nearly 2p so we had to forgo naps and come down for a bite. Communication between the staff is overall poor and inconsistent. Another example: Concierge, Michelle, at the front told us they don’t serve food beachside, so after some waiting in the Bistro lounge area (where we’re told we’d be served) we ended up going into the restaurant to eat. Imagine our surprise when we came to the beach and were offered a menu. I brought these issues up to the guest relations manager, who, despite some justifications, provided a credit, which felt like a bandaid solution rather than addressing the true concerns. While appreciated, that wasn’t the intent of me bringing it up. Fortunately, he was able to get a proper set of bumpers on the bed for the last night, but the experience was already soured. One saving grace was Hanna at Villa Concierge who efficiently booked us an excursion. We took the resort shuttle there and back (though we waited longer than quoted to come back) which was quite convenient. Still, a single good experience couldn't salvage the trip. Throughout the stay it felt like there was a subtle discrimination against us. Lack of attention, poor service… I ended up doing a TripAdvisor and Reddit search to find that there is history of this type of discrimination at the resort. With improvements in service and communication, we’d consider coming back, but in its current state that possibility is looking bleak.
