When it comes to raising a glass in cheer, there is no finer place to toast than Lanzerac Hotel and Spa. Tucked into the Cape Winelands of South Africa, this 300-year-old wine estate boasts one of the areaâ€(TM)s most distinguished examples of Cape Dutch architecture. Opening onto private patios overlooking lush vineyards, landscaped gardens and the majestic Helderberg Mountains, spacious guest rooms and suites preserve the atmosphere of a gracious era. And because every wine deserves a brilliant pairing, the manor offers numerous dining options, including the elegant Governors Hall and Mediterranean-styled Lady Anne Courtyard.

My husband and I spent a wonderful long weekend following a busy conference in Cape Town. The hotel was delightfully situated with stunning views and immaculate gardens. The quality and cleanliness of the accommodation was excellent; we stayed in a wonderful suite (210) with a private pool. We enjoyed great food and excellent service throughout our stay. The shuttle in to town was appreciated. We will definitely return to this lovely hotel !

Genuinely my favourite place in the Winelands. From their wine to the hotel, you really can’t ask for better.

We were travelling around SA on a special birthday trip. We stayed here for 2 nights when travelling through the wine growing areas. It is a lovely hotel in a stunningly beautiful setting. Our room was big with a proper bathroom and separate toilet with door which was not the case in many other of our hotels. There was a complimentary mini bar which was nice although we needed to call up to get it replenished. The bed was huge and super comfortable. The main hotel building is based in an historic Manor House which has huge public and dining rooms. On the first evening we ate from the bar menu but in the main restaurant as the less formal eating area was full. On the second evening we ate in the same room with the full a la carte restaurant menu. One of our party was unwell and only wanted something simple from the bar menu but that was not allowed despite the fact that everyone else was ordering from the restaurant menu. We had pre dinner drinks in the bar but it was awkward because the only barman seemed to be under pressure to fulfil orders from waiting staff and struggled to find time to get our drinks. The bar was full of tables for dining which detracted from the ambience there should have been at this level of hotel. There are lots of empty spaces in the hotel but we felt hemmed in by people coming to eat. The spa looked beautiful and we used the indoor heated pool. There is a lovely terrace with sun beds and a hot tub overlooking the vines and the mountains. Unfortunately it was too cold and windy to sit out. Breakfast was excellent with a buffet plus food made to order. It’s a lovely hotel and I would like to go back.

Thank you for spoiling us as a couple from start to finish. It was a mini honeymoon to be honest (15 years married). You're the best!

My stay at Lanzerac was absolutely wonderful, a perfect blend of elegance, relaxation, and romance in the heart of the Stellenbosch winelands. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the timeless beauty of the estate and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The wine tasting experience was one of the highlights. Each wine told its own story and enjoying it in such a stunning setting made it even more special. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate, adding a personal touch that made the experience both fun and informative. I also loved the peaceful and romantic atmosphere that surrounded the entire estate. Whether it was taking quiet walks through the vineyards, relaxing with a glass of wine, or simply soaking in the breathtaking views, every moment felt calm and rejuvenating. What made the stay truly memorable were the quiet moments of stillness, those times when I could completely disconnect and just enjoy the beauty and serenity around me. Lanzerac offered the ideal escape, combining luxury, history, and tranquility in the most effortless way. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of my next visit. 🌸
