Reviews for Skamania Lodge

If you have a loud family and lots of dogs and love a corporate banal vibe, this place is for you.

Rude staff. Corporate vibe. Christmas tree and lighted walk through the woods were great. Room was clean and river view was pretty, but ultimately not worth the money.

Lovely but overcrowded

The lodge is lovely and the staff are helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel was at capacity and there was not many quiet spaces in the lodge to enjoy without having to wait for a set to free up, or a space in the hot tub.

Cheers to the Bar!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

We stayed at the hotel during the New Year festivities, and overall our stay was going well until an issue with our dinner reservation. Despite receiving a text that our table was ready, we were asked by the host to wait at the bar for a table to become available. After waiting about 45 minutes—and having a drink and an appetizer—we decided to dine at the bar and informed the host of our decision. We were then told that we were “not on the list” and that other guests needed to be seated, which was frustrating and confusing given our earlier exchange. Fortunately, our bartender, Aly, noticed our frustration and immediately involved a manager. Both Aly and the manager took the time to listen, understand what had happened, and genuinely turned the evening around for us. Their professionalism and customer service made a big difference and showed that they truly value their guests. Because of that positive experience, we returned to the bar the following night and once again had a great time with the bartenders.

A must stay location!

What a spectacular location and experience. The lodge is nicely appointed, family friendly, pet friendly and has so many things to do and experience including just relaxing and playing cards or games in the central room. The food at both restaurants were well above our expectations, so don't plan on every leaving unless its to enjoy the fun things to do around the Columbia River Gorge area (hiking, boating, fishing, sight seeing).
