Skamania Lodge

Good hotel. Bad food. Perhaps the worst pizza I have had in years. The hotel seems quite nice. And the trout was good. But lord, what a mistake the pizza was. Stay away from the Margarita. Cheap tomato sauce spread all over. A couple tiny slices of cheese. Tiny slivers of basil.

Beautiful location and surroundings, Hotel lobby and surrounding area as well maintaining and warm. The grand fireplace in lobby. It is warm and friendly perfect area for reading.

We are local visitors from Hood River OR which lies only 20 miles from Skamania. We are delighted to have such a superb resort close by. We come here for at least our birthdays. The resort is loaded with Northwest Native American and modern art. The staff is friendly and efficient. The highlight for us was the superb food available for all meals.For example, the River Rock Lounge contains over 20 pours of different Northwestern beers. The resort is always rocking with weddings and corporate events. You can be as active or relaxed as you want. All ages have fun here with a large variety of activities available. The gift shop has a wide selection of Northwestern products such as Pendleton clothing. This resort calls for repeat visits and I am sure you will agree after your first visit.

Skamania Lodge remains one of the gems in WA state. The setting is beautiful and the Lodge is in excellent condition. They have so many nice touches from Adirondack chairs on the front lawn, free games on the lawn, a fabulous outdoor hot tub, pool and work out room. We stayed in one of the glamping units and it was very upscale - heated mattress pad (we stayed in October so it was chilly at night), a Nespresso coffee machine and a great variety of pods, and a gas fire pit to name a few. We also had a separate bathroom unit with a shower, and bathtub.

The treehouse was so much fun! Maybe the most memorable place we have stayed with our kiddos! We loved the covered deck and fire pit. Slept 4 comfortably. The bathroom was huge - much bigger than I expected for a treehouse! The unit has the typical hotel room mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, but worked for us. Service was great too - including someone showing us the unit and how to use everything, carrying up our bags and also bringing up two more chairs for the deck. On property, we did the hiking trails and really enjoyed them - a proper trail and not just a paved path in a loop. Would definitely stay here again if in the area!
