Great location, poor dining experience
The location is great; the property is beautiful. Very minimal vegetarian/vegan options on the menu and the dining staff were very rude. They served us the worst avocado toast with wilted arugula; I had to bring it to their notice before they replaced it. This was my second visit to Skamania, but after this experience I will be unlikely to return.

Beautiful Lodge in the Columbia River Gorge
We stayed at Skamania Lodge when coming to visit family and run a trail race. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and the food is really wonderful (we had probably 6 meals at Cascade and River Rock and all were delicious). We stayed in rooms in the lodge and found them adequate and comfortable if a bit dated. We loved our time there and will be back.

Hi Adam, I wanted to follow up after our recent Memorial Day stay and let you know how glad we are that we decided to give Skamania Lodge another try after the less-than-pleasant experience we had last year. I'm happy to say that our experience this year was wonderful and noticeably improved. We could see the effort that has gone into enhancing the guest experience, and it did not go unnoticed. From the service to the overall atmosphere, there was a clear difference that made our stay enjoyable and memorable. In particular, we would like to recognize the team at the Cascade Room. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and provided the level of hospitality we had always hoped to experience at Skamania Lodge. Their efforts played a significant role in restoring our confidence and reminding us why Skamania has been one of our favorite destinations over the years. Thank you for taking our previous feedback seriously and for the commitment you and your team have shown toward improvement. We know meaningful change takes time, leadership, and dedication, and it is evident that those efforts are making a positive impact. We look forward to returning again in the future and continuing our family tradition at one of our favorite places.

Disappointed
Not the same quality as on previous visits but much higher prices. If they want to continue charging such exorbitant prices they better spend some time and money on refurbishing.

Travel here once every year !
Place is amazing , far away to get away from the real world, view is pretty phenomenal. Not much you can complain about while you stay here !
