Nobis Hotel Stockholm

Excellent central location with very comfortable room. Staff and service were exemplary and we would not hesitate to return to Nobis in Stockholm should we have the opportunity to revisit this beautiful city.

We had an excellent experience at the Nobis for our anniversary trip. The hotel is ideally located in the city and close to just about anything you would want to see or do. If not, public transportation options are steps away. Hotel is very clean and modern but still keeps a classic touch. The stay was certainly enhanced by the friendliness and attention of the management and staff. Kim, the manager was exceptional and Alicia at the front desk was one of the most friendly and thoughtful people we encountered during our trip. All around great stay!

The location is ideal, within easy reach of everything, and the staff – with the exception of those at the bar – are very friendly and professional. The room, although a ‘Superior’, was a tiny, dark ‘cubbyhole’ with hardly any space. The breakfast isn’t up to the standard you’d expect from a hotel of this category in Stockholm, and the breakfast room is small and always absolutely packed. The quality of the food on offer in the bistro also needs reviewing.

We had to pivot to staying at the Nobis Hotel Stockholm after Airbnb canceled a large home rental we had booked at the last minute. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with open arms and did what they could to upgrade my fiancé’s and my room as well as some of the other members of our group. We liked that we could still have breakfast all together as a family, use the saunas, and gather in the bar/lounge - amenities we were most worried about losing when changing plans from a homestay to a hotel. The location couldn’t have been better for everything we wanted to see and do. The only complaints we had is that it is centrally located right off major shopping and nightlife areas, so on one Saturday night there was loud club music keeping us awake even with the windows closed. The rooms are also a bit dark, but tasteful at clean. Overall, I would recommend this place to most travelers.

The staff was very nice from the moment we checked in to the moment we left, and while a bit macabre, it's not often you can say you stayed in a building that used to house the bank of Stockholm Syndrome fame. For the most part, though, other than a nice lobby and lounge, there was nothing that made this hotel particularly standout among hotels in its category. The room we had had barely any space between the bed and the wall, meaning you had to either climb over the person in bed already to get to the other side, or do a contortionist thing to shimmy between the mattress and the wall, avoiding the TV. Also, besides a nice lobby and stunning lounge, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a "design hotel" unless you count an A3 size piece of metal art and a tiny sculpture stuck to the corner of the room wall as design. We had a minor plumbing issue (shower temp fluctuated) that we reported at checkout; hopefully that was fixed. Wifi was also spotty and the shower and sink drains were slow (especially the shower; you couldn't turn the water on fully). We booked because the price was right (Amex Hotel Collection, though we did not get upgraded as the hotel was full, totally understandable and I do not hold that against them), and might stay again if pricing were similar but will probably look at other hotels more closely next time as potentially better options. My husband thinks I'm being harsh with a 3* review, but finally agreed that it is indeed Average for the price point.
