Lovely hotel - not quite how its depicted in their pictures - especially if you book a regular level room, which was a shame as I'd paid a little extra than some of the other hotel rooms in other cities i'd booked as a part of this 2 week trip just so we could chill a little in the room, so it was a shame that it wasn't as special as the pictures show. We didn't eat breakfast so can't comment on that - staff were friendly and the location was faultless

The positives far outweigh the negatives yet those negatives are still a fruistration. More later. On arrival the reception team were great - very helkpful and enthusiastic. There is nothing like a smile and a warm welcome and we got that. I'm so sorry I didn't get the lady's name who took our bags, but she was great along with Lena. Throughout our 5 day stay, reception were the shining light ... truly service above and beyond. Always helpful, always cheerful. Bedroom was great. Ample space, worth paying for the waterfront view too. Shower was exceptional. Dining room was being refurbished. Breakfast was super - lots of choice to suit all tastes and the produce was fresh. Setting - brilliant!! It was the perfect hotel for us. Easy to walk to sites we visited and a beautiful walk round the bay to the Vasa Museum. Negatives. Room service menu. For breakfast I could easily make a smoked salmon sandwich on rye bread with salad leaves, tomato and cucumber. You have this in the hotel - why can we not buy it on a room service menu? Secondly, we sat having a drink in the restaurant one evening. It was empty. But to get a pizza, we had to go to our room and eat it there as it was only on the room service menu. THAT was absolutely nuts. basically it meant we drank water in the room and not the bottle of wine we would have had downstairs. We would not let those minor negatives overshadow what was otherwise a fantastic stay with exceptional staff. The greeting in our room for our 45th wedding anniversary was such a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Thank you tyo the entire team.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the old town. The premises are well-maintained, and the overall customer care is good. However, while the service was satisfactory, it didn’t quite reach the exceptional and personalized level expected from a five-star hotel. A bit more attention to detail would elevate the experience. Overall, a solid choice, but there’s room for improvement.
