Reviews for The Lodge at Spruce Peak

Best summer break getaway for the whole family

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

I have been coming here with my young kids for the last several summers and they always count down the days to get back. The pool and pool bar are fantastic for a sunny day. The entire resort is very kid friendly. The renovations made to the enchanted forest playground are gorgeous and worth a detour. The shops in the pedestrian village have everything to make your stay convenient. The rooms we have had are always spacious with kitchens and amenities to make it feel like home, though the food at alpine hall is so wonderful we always eat there.

Overrated and poorly run

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Hyatt needs to do a better job with quality control of their resorts. Not a very service oriented resort. Lots of season staff being trained. Almost no dining options and they upcharge you with added gratuity for take out and delivery to your room. New York strip was under seasoned and not cooked medium rare plus, and the dessert did not not have a nut disclosure so my son had a very uncomfortable evening. Had phantom charges on my bill which we will have to dispute. I would not recommend this resort. Plenty of better options in Stowe. Tipsy trout probably the worst name I’ve ever heard of for a restaurant as well. Views were nice though.

Buggy room. Gross

Bugs all over room. Nothing special whatsoever. Found numerous ants and what looked like some sort of roach on our rug. Not impressed

The Stein Eriksen of the East

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The Lodge is an exceptional property, it very closely resembles Stein Eriksen lodge in Deer Valley Utah for comparison. The rooms are very well appointed, I stayed in an end room with a small kitchen, a dining/living area, and a spacious bedroom. The bath was large with top quality fixtures and separate tub and shower. Unit also had a washer/dryer. The staff was exceptional, very attentive, courteous, and available. The food on property was good, and seemed to have been made with care, and high quality products. There are also several shops and restaurants on property equally appointed at this level of accomodation. Property and surrounding mountains are beautiful, and the pool / spa area are very nice with plenty of chairs and lounges. I am sure it is fantastic in the winter with very close proximity to the ski lifts. A 5 star property.

Mountain getaway in the summer.

Beautiful hotel! Our room had a great view of the ski slope. Probably a slower season, but it was very quiet and peaceful during our stay. Also just a short, pretty drive down the mountain into Stowe.
