Fabulous family get away!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had a fabulous stay as a family of 4. From arrival to departure everything was wonderful. All of the staff were helpful and accommodating with activities, meals, valet, exploring the grounds etc. The rooms were absolutely stunning with wonderful amenities. It was a quick ride into Stowe to explore the downtown. Lots to see and enjoy. We will definitely be back!

Incompetence ruined once-in-a-lifetime event

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We spent $8000 staying here for a significant birthday event. The residence itself was fine. Packages for residences go through the main lodge, however. The food and gifts were all delivered to the lodge early. When we went to pick them up before the party, they could not find them. It took hours for them to finally call off-duty staff who knew where to look. It was impossible to even reach the staff looking for the packages during this process. By the time they were finally located, the party was over as well as most of the concert we had planned to attend after. The staff was trying, but they were either untrained or uninformed and unable to escalate problems appropriately. We weren't offered anything more than a "sorry" in response to the situation.

Great stay

We had a wonderful stay in Aug 2026. Hotel was beautifully maintained. Our suite was perfect. Plenty of room to spread out. Bed was really comfortable which was appreciated after a long day of hiking. Our room was very near the elevator, but we never heard any noise at night. Alpine restaurant was tasty for breakfast each morning and we also ate there for dinner one evening. The front desk was responsive to anything we asked for. The location was convenient to all of the things we wanted to do in the area. No complaints at all. I'm sure it's spectacular in the winter as well so we hope to return.

John McIntosh was an amazing Spruce Peak Treehouse Residence host to us. He made us feel welcome. He helped us with all of our needs. He even went extremely out of his way to help us find a misplaced item. He cared for our needs and always made us feel at home in beautiful Stowe, Vermont. Thank you, John
