Far beyond a quintessential golf and spa destination, Streamsong Resort ushers in a new era of luxury in central Florida. Extraordinary is a way of life here. Surrounded by nothing but nature in every direction, Streamsong Resort is situated just under 50 miles southeast of Tampa, enveloped by acres of rolling greens and glittering lakes. The 216-room main lodge houses custom-built guest rooms and suites that are modern and sophisticated, with views extending over the horizon, fostering a true sanctuary vibe. Spaces are no less than 530 square feet in size, and feature floor-to- ceiling windows, walk-in showers, double vanities, and boutique amenities designed to accommodate every detail of your stay. Take advantage of the lodge's complete fitness center and outdoor lakeside pool, or spend some quiet time relaxing in the serene loft/lounge area. Perfectly set with lakes on its sunrise and sunset sides, Streamsong Resort takes full advantage of its splendid setting with plenty of scenic observation spots, and the lack of city lights makes for incredible starlight views, especially from the rooftop lounge.

Our group of eight friends just returned from a week at Streamsong. Everything about the experience was a 10 out of 10. We played all three of the courses. They were different from each other in interesting ways, with the Red being our favorite because of the incredible vistas on several holes (and the extra wide fairways didn’t hurt). The courses are impeccably maintained, and very playable if you use the correct tees for your ability. Our caddies (Sam and Denver) were knowledgeable and helpful, with constant on-course advice and encouragement. They made each enjoyable round even better. We thought the facilities were top notch. The rooms are modern, well equipped, and spotless. Housekeeping came every day without needing a special request. The food was varied (we ate at a different restaurant every night) and delicious. Portions were enormous. The staff requires special mention. Every single staff member we encountered had the perfect combination of being professional, friendly and helpful (I cannot disagree more with the criticism in some recent reviews). Lizzie in Fin and Feather and Ivan (Blue/Red course ranger) deserve a special mention. We’re already discussing a possible return trip next year.

What a great golf resort. We loved the courses and the accommodations and service were excellent. It was very convenient to have multiple restaurants and bar options on site. One night, we ate at Fin and Feather. Lizzy was our server and was excellent!

Streamsong is first rate in every regard I can think of. Although it is a drive from the middle of nowhere, you don’t need to go anywhere once you are there. The lodge has a minimalist architectural style, but is comfortable, light and clean. Rooms are huge. All of the staff we encountered seemed to want to find ways to make our stay outstanding. The golf courses are just fabulous especially, in my opinion, the Red course which is very playable and scenic. The Black and Blue are also great although the Blue gets pretty long on the back nine. The golf operations are run very efficiently, and I especially liked that they would transfer your clubs to the next course you were playing. No lugging golf clubs around! Caddies are required and are a must! Finding your way around the courses would be very difficult without one. The caddies are indispensable when it comes to reading the greens, too. Our guy, Denver, stayed with us for each day and was personable and extremely helpful. Tip generously! Restaurants were all very good especially Fin and Feathers and Sottoterra. Quantities of food are very generous as well. Our waitress in Gin and Feathers, Lizzy, was a delight! This is a world class place for a golf trip!

Sterile, unfriendly, in the middle of nowhere. They are the first things that come to mind. The rooms are nice although a little corporate and lack character. Most of the staff are uninterested and in speaking to them seems a result of a corporate structure lacking creativity or passion which may be find for the variety of 80 year old male doctors visiting, but for a group of 25 younger to middle aged dudes from around the world spending a lot of money for a few day golf trip the actual resort doesnt have much to offer. A couple exceptions staff wise were Rose and the big bearded manager at the Fin and Feather and Joseph in the bar at the Black course. Most of our groups had an unpleasant experience with some guy, supposed Pro named Paul who at hole 11 or 12 rolled up and aggressively told us we were behind, with no prior warning, then when we thought he was coming back to apologize for his rudeness 5 minutes later, he again berated us telling us we were a hole or so behind. Again, this is not our first rodeo and there are ways to communicate and deal with this. He ruined many of our groups day, and trip. The golf courses, Red and Black, are nice, challenging, could use more signage as the bunkers and the paths look the same much of the time. The caddies it seems really are hit and miss, from over talking and opinionated which detracts from the experience, to totally not interested weed smoking with not much knowledge. At $100 per player would much rather a GPS in the carts which are standard low budget carts, and no caddie. Cart girl Kylie was sweet, but they had hell bailed up around the 10th parked under a roof which considering the course is full of groups of dudes wanting to have fun, she and the course could have added to the experience and earns tens of thousands more just by driving around and selling drinks. Weather is really hit and miss being inland Florida, so itll generally be warm, humid and rain and storms will be in and out, but the course and greens to drain really well. The food at the restaurant by the lobby is solid. Steak tacos and steak are great. Breakfast is pretty good. Shuttles are great, quick, golf club service good. Main problem with this place is being an hour away from any civilization and the post golf entertainment being very light. The bars upstairs could be great, but the room with the simulators has terrible piped corporate music the staff said they cannot change, the lights are bright and no atmosphere. The cocktail bar was better but needs more music, interested staff. The pool and jacuzzi area could be amazing with some speakers and music played around it and staff actually wandering, interested, servicing guests drinks and food rather than an uninterested grumpy lady sitting in the pool bar. Again, many ways to make this amazing. Needs new hospitality management to build an experience for folks to make the trip. Probably wouldn't recommend a stay there but if youre driving by, worth a play.

1/5 ** This review is not for the Streamsong Resort so much as it is intended for a potential golf trip enthusiast whom is seeking to gain insight into their next trip. For the record, I don't think the resort cares... ----- Dear Golf Trip Enthusiast, * Are you looking for a golf resort that has average to above average courses that are priced above their quality? * Are you looking for a location that reminds you that THEY are the boss and not open to your feedback? * Are you looking for a setting that makes you feel like you're walking on egg shells? * Are you looking for an establishment that even some of the staff are afraid to express their opinion to you? ^ Are you in search of a resort that proudly displays a sign saying, “We don’t take suggestions, but we do take your money”? * Are you looking for a golf resort where the only thing harder than your swing is the pressure not to offend anyone? If the answer to any of the above questions is "yes", then the Streamsong Resort is perfect for you! Food was good... Management sucks... Book elsewhere fro half the money and twice the experience!
