An absolutely amazing experience at Streamsong. A bunch of co-workers and friends descended on Streamsong a few weeks back for some phenomenal golf, drinks and laughs. This was my first golf trip and it was so worth it. Going to break this review down in regards to the golf, hotel and dining experiences. Golf We played all 4 courses, starting with the Chain, which was a great primer for the rounds to follow, which were Black, Red, and Blue. You have to walk the Chain, which isn't bad at all and we played match play. The golfer that won the previous hole would determine where we would tee off the next hole. They have push carts to rent if you don't want to carry your clubs. Next up was Black, with 11 acres of greens, while Red and Blue have a combined 10 acres of greens. Getting GIR was interesting on Black considering you could be 150' away from the pin. We took carts out for Black, Red, and Blue along with a caddy, which is required. I had Taylor as a caddy for all three courses and he was great, he would call out distances just using the yardage marker and was spot on. I highly recommend him as a caddy, without a doubt he helped, specifically on reading the green, it was comical how off I was in reading the greens. Out of all the courses, I loved Red the most. All courses were it top shape and the greens were super fast. Everything about the golf aspect of Streamsong was top tier. Hotel I opted for a single king room, which worked out just fine for me. A few other players shared a double room suite, which was nothing like sharing a double occupancy room. Each person had their own bedroom and bathroom. There was a living room area with a practice putting mat. If I would to do it again, I would opt for that route. Overall the hotel was fine, cement columns and not very lively, but I slept well and it was quiet. Dining We ate at all the restaurants at Streamsong. The Italian restaurant wasn't the best IMO. The apps were very good, but the main entrees lacked flavor. The steakhouse was very good, steak cooked perfectly. The other restaurants were more bar food or breakfast spots in the morning, all good, standard fare. The food on the course was excellent, tacos, BBQ, corndogs, etc., all well done. Summary While Streamsong isn't a cheap golf vacation by any stretch and yes, it is a good 90 minute drive from Tampa airport and in the middle of nowhere, I highly recommend it. Food prices were not ridiculous, golf was pricey and the hotel wasn't that bad. Lastly the people, always welcoming you with a smile, going above and beyond to make sure your stay, dining experience and round of golf were the best, even if you didn't have the best round.

We celebrated our anniversary at Canyon Lake and it was outstanding. The steak was easily one of the best I’ve ever had perfect temperature, great crust, and packed with flavor. Sides were delicious, cocktails were on point, and the service was good. Highly recommend for any occasion, but especially a celebration.

The golf experience at this resort was phenomenal. The caddie (Rudy) was a delight, made our 5 rounds with him enjoyable and fun. The staff at the resort was exceptional in every way in all areas. We did have trouble having our room serviced 3 of the nights as we kept receiving (inexplicably) txts that said we had a do not disturb sign on the door (we did not) for the price per night I find that completely unacceptable. My husband and I came from NJ for our anniversary for 6 nights. I expected a high end experience for the money. Unfortunately the “vibe” at the resort was more animal house than sophisticated. Way too many drunk rowdy immature guys in groups who apparently feel entitled to behave any way they like in spite of others around them. One “delightful” encounter included a man of 33-38 years old simulating masterbating while we waited for a shuttle. The language was lewd and loud making that ride to the lodge much longer than needed. The loud obnoxious behavior was also experienced in all restaurants. I was told the dress code prior to arriving, but that not followed by many.

I had a blast at this resort! We were a group of 32 guys and this place is like Disney for golfers and bass fishermen (I didn’t shoot at all so I can’t comment on those amenities). The food and drinks on the course were not only great but the prices weren’t astronomical! I had mentally tried to prepare myself for stadium/casino prices but my group was pleasantly surprised and relieved that the prices were in the realm of reality. Red, blue, and black, I enjoyed all 3 of these courses. Our caddies (Teeter [Taylor] and taller Taylor) were instrumental to our group. They knew the course, were able to hang with our banter, could tolerate our poor play at times, and provided green knowledge that were more than worth their fee. The only minor downside is the organization in the Red/Blue pro shop (the black is separate, no issues experienced there). Nothing drastic but it’s the only blemish we encountered during our time there. I’ll definitely play these courses again!

I added a couple nights at Streamsong after visiting my mom in Orlando. Well worth it! While off the beaten path, the resort is gorgeous. Staff was friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. The room was spacious and comfortable. The golf courses were varied, challenging, well kept and fun to play. A great experience and hope to be back!
