Ajwa Hotel Sultanahmet

This hotel was amazing in every way , it’s sparkling clean a wonderful location. The service is impeccable. I had an eye operation while I was there and asked for them to bring me ice every two hours, and they never forgot always at the door. Every two hours with my ice bucket couldn’t be nicer. Really the experience was wonderful. My room had a gorgeous view. The bed is so comfortable. The bathroom is so beautiful.i wish i had that in my own home. I must also mention the restaurant upstairs , we had one of our best meals in Istanbul there . It is near the grand bizarre, but not so close that you would feel or see the crowds. I will definitely be staying in this hotel again next time I come to Istanbul.

For true Ottoman/Islamic luxury, I don't think you can do better than the AJWA Sultanahmet. From the greeting, to the traditional artisanal furniture, rugs, and architecture, this hotel transported myself and my family back into the heart of old Istanbul. Exceptional staff, exceptional architecture, exceptional experience, all located just 5-10 mins walk from the Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia, and Bosphorus. Pro tip: Spend some time in the Library on the Mezzanine level - one of the most amazing tables I've ever seen, along with plenty of amazing coffee-table books of interest. A great way to spend an hour or two of downtime in the hotel instead of the room.

We chose this hotel because we wanted a good hotel but one which felt like it was connected to Istanbul culture, and it didn't disappoint. Very attentive staff, great room service, a fabulous breakfast with over 140 items to pick from and a brilliant restaurant - our flaming rice dish was a moment to remember. We even had a problem with the drain in our bathroom and it was fixed rapidly by the service team who could not have been more polite. In terms of location, head south on foot and there are interesting shops or north and you are five minutes from the excellent tram stop. But we enjoyed walking through the city to Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque and even over the Galata bridge to Galata tower. A nice couple of restaurants nearby too. Overall this was excellent and we were there a week. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, who all seemed to care deeply that we enjoyed our stay. And we did, so thank you.

This is one of the best hotels I ever stayed at. The hospitality. The cleanliness. The staff. The restaurant. The location. The service. The rooms. The Hamam. Everything was PERFECTION. The whole staff were all great especially the doormen and bellteam. They were super helpful and handy for me and my family throught the whole trip. This hotel is a big reason why enjoyed my trip to Istanbul.
