Ajwa Hotel Sultanahmet

Our four night stay at AJWA Sultanahmet was wonderful. The hotel features a gorgeous traditional design and furniture, yet it is comfortable. The location is perfect, within easy walking distance to major historic sites, many restaurants, and shops. The service is top-notch. One example is we are a family of 5 adults and booked three rooms. We emailed to ask if our rooms can be next to each other and they said no problem. When we arrived, we found out that not only they gave us three rooms next to each other, one of the rooms was an upgrade. There are several other examples of how they took good care of us. But what impressed us most was the exceptional care during checkout. The gentleman at the front desk informed us our driver had arrived. He then took the extra step to verify with both us and the driver that we were heading to the correct airport, knowing that Istanbul has two. That level of thoughtfulness and proactive care showcased their amazing hospitality.

Best hotel ive ever been to. Service was excellent and room was amazing and the pool was the cleanest ive ever used changing room facilities were so clean and nice and full worth your money. The a la carte breakfast was amazing and delicious. I cant wait to come back again and i highly recommend.

Hotel was perfect. Great location, incredible lobby, opulent furnishings, and great restaurant. Buffet breakfasts were top quality and I understand why the restaurant gets consistent great reviews for dinner. Staff was friendly and Aytac, the bell Captain was always trying to help. All staff were incredibly friendly. Hotel rooms were spacious, well appointed and a bathroom you’d like to take home with you 😂! 10 -15 minute walk to major tourist sites and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend.

The Ajwa is a gorgeous hotel in the old city. I stayed in the family suite - everything was perfect - spacious, elegantly but comfortably decorated, immaculately clean. But what truly made the Ajwa an amazing experience is the staff. From the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave, they will make you feel like the most important person staying with them. They are very proactive in providing local suggestions for restaurants and activities and inquiring what they can do to help make your stay in Istanbul amazing. I also have to give special mention to how well the staff deal with my food allergy (gluten). Not only did they have a lot of options on the menu to accommodate, they made a note on day one and were very attentive in this area. Every time I called for room service (which was daily), the person I spoke to knew of my allergy and made a point to confirm with chef before submitting my order. And the food was DELICIOUS. Everything I tried was so good and the gluten free bread was freshly made (not sure if in house or local bakery but I wasn’t a grocery store, yuck-textured loaf). And don’t skip the spa! I have an inflammatory disease and my ankle can get quite swollen, especially when I’m walking a lot. After the hand and foot massage, it looked and felt amazing. I couldn’t help but go back again for the full body and was not disappointed. I’ve stayed in a fair number of very nice hotels around the world and this is absolutely at the top of my list!!
