Nihi Sumba Island

Spent 6 days at Nihi Sumba. My overall impression is that Nihi is perhaps "The best place in the world" The facility is incredible and they left no stone unturned. Everything you could want is there at least 2x3 times over. The staff is incredible, Aris the am Bartender had epic coffees ready for us daily. Pauline was perhaps the most well organised, attentive, accommodating hotel manager we have ever encountered. She has great energy, kept us informed and entertained. The people plus environment is unparalleled. Definitely going back. The surf is also epic!

Best of best and Millions Dolar View Beach and best experience of our weakend journey at Nihi Sumba, All staff very very helpful and polite and super friendly, overall Nihi is Best Villa and Beach and all Activities and we love ❤️ it and we will love to be back and stay and Explore for more of Wonderful Beach 🏖️ Nihi !!!!!!

It’s amazing view and service and it’s great experience

My stay at Nihi verified why it is the best hotel in the world. It is endless thought, reflection, development of a collective that pushes boundaries to be the best in all aspects. It is located in the most incredible destination set against nature's blessing, but the team does not take this for granted, and build on harmonising nature's backdrop with careful consideration on architecture, design, physical guest journey, and facilities/offerings. While the "hardware" is continuously refined and perfected (it is opening more restaurants, tennis/padel options, villas, and expanding its spa area), the equally (if not more) volatile aspects, ie team, dining, programming and experiences are also considered in the most fundamental level. There is magic in the air with the team visibly loving what they do, and whatever curious question we threw at them they knew and shared heartily because they are part of the story. Their gratitude to the Nihi leadership is no artifice, which shows me how profound Nihi's impact is on the community. I learned about The Sumba Foundation created by Nihi's founder organically through the stories of staff who benefited from the organisation growing up (only when asked - this info was never proactively offered so it was not imposed). Dining 3 meals a day for many who stay long is never an easy feat. The Nihi team magically created new vibes out of our 3 days (9 meals) across 2 locations, with not one meal feeling the same. The menu options are at the pitch perfect casual enough to be comfortable (because dining out is too rich at that frequency), but refined enough to feel well taken care of. We stumbled across their potages garden, which was of course never mentioned but awaits a guest's discovery, to witness where a portion of our ingredients came from. We experienced the safari spa, which is OUT OF THIS WORLD (no spoilers) and a must visit - it is not just a spa experience outdoors but a whole extended vision of Nihi's leaders. Our experiences (swimming with horses, surfing) were led by top notch instructors who truly cared to design the most thoughtful programmes and were extremely knowledgeable. I cannot be more grateful for having experienced such extraordinary vision that was born from the founder and widened by its leaders / owners today as guardians of the core principles, while expressing what true luxury is today - scarcity and the human touch.
