Grand Beach Hotel Surfside

Service really lacking Staying here at the moment. Got given a lower floor room than requested. They changed the room the next day. By day 3 in the hotel our room didn't get cleaned til 5pm after calling down 4 times. Today day 4 after they promised our room would be cleaned at midday we came back at 5 30 pm and the towels had been changed, the same bedding was on the bed and the sheer was hanging. The floor and the bathrooms hadn't been cleaned but the bins were emptied at least. The hotel has never had great service but last year it seemed to have got better... This year it's gone backwards. The hotel rooms are big, the air con is the noisiest I've ever had in any hotel room and the pool areas have one person serving if you're lucky, no real help with sunbeds /towels/umbrellas, luck of timing. The best bit is where it is but I think this wears thin after a while as you're here on vacation and don't want the hassle this place gives you. We love this area but have decided enough is enough and we'll need to find somewhere else further up Miami beach. This place really would be great if they sorted out their service culture!

If I could leave less the 1, I would. Stayed 2 nights. The first night, we had an issue with the air conditioner. The fan was making noise sporadically. The front desk sent an engineer who determined it could not be fixed. We had to pack up everything and we were moved to an upgraded room. We went out for dinner and some drinks with our entire family for a wedding the next day. We returned around 11:30 PM, prepared for bed, and noticed one side of the bed was soaked! The blankets, pillows, and mattress were completely soaked! We went back to the front desk again and we were moved to our 3rd room in less than 12 hours. We finally went to sleep and when we woke up, we noticed puddles on the floor of the room! We went back to the front desk and they sent someone to the room to check it out. When we returned, the floor was dry. Went to bed and woke up at 3AM to use the restroom and stepped in a puddle! Unbelievable! Checked out and we were told they would give us a discount. The discount was less than 30% of our bill. To say we would NEVER stay here again is an understatement. Please do not stay here.

We had a great stay and we want to especially praise the work of Suncha Rincher. We decided to extend our stay without realizing that this was one of the busiest weeks of the year. She went beyond the call of duty to find us a solution and we will be forever grateful.

We had a fantastic trip at Grand Beach Surfside, and are already planning our next trip there this summer ! Both Jadyn Garcia and Bella Brown from the front office were SO helpful and made sure everything was right. Our room was beautiful and very clean and the porch and beach view was truly amazing! Their customer service was second to none and giving them 5 stars ⭐️ is not as many as they deserve! Simply a pleasure to deal with and their positive attitude definetly spreads to the rest of their staff. We also dealt with Miguelangel as well as Clemence at the front desk, and their daily greeting with a smile as well as eagerness to please, was just a pleasure. The room service was quick and housemaids came each morning and did a beautiful job making our rooms feel fresh & new each day. When heading to South Florida, this is our #1 resort to go to and we look forward to our next vacation there soon !
