Amora Hotel Jamison Sydney

Booked 6 weeks in advance. Unable to check in until 3pm, rather than advertised 2 pm. Room was a disability room with basin but no vanity or space for toiletries. Took 2.5 more hours to find a room equivalent to what we booked. Took 5 trips to a busy reception to resolve this. Staff were pleasant but appeared not to follow through. When finally in the room the bath mat was frayed and had a hole in it. The bed was comfortable but the air conditioner could not maintain the temperature low enough so hot all night. I would never stay again. We were not offered any compensation for any of this and felt we paid for 4 hours of accommodation we could not take advantage of. This was despite paying twice the going price that day by booking ahead

Bad bad bad. Don’t waste your time and money. This was not 5 star, 3 star at the absolute most. Very overpriced for what you get

Stayed 3 nights for business, would definitely return. Location excellent near Wynyard Station (train from airport) and Bridge St light rail (for getting around the CBD). Room a decent size, having a good-sized bathtub was a nice added extra. Bed was comfortable, entire room very clean. Small bath towels - for a 5 star hotel I would expect a larger bath towel but that's a pretty minor inconvenience. Pool was small but well-maintained and included spa, sauna and steam room. All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful.

Wonderful hotel, great location in Sydney CBD, I would highly recommend. Walking distance to The Rocks, Botanical Gardens, Barangaroo and shops in and around Pitt St Mall.

The Amora is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff were super accommodating and ensured we had everything we needed and more. We were delighted to receive a room upgrade, welcome drink, and late checkout, too!
