Hilton Sydney

Hilton Sydney Hotel is located approximately 25 minutes away from Kingsford International Airport. Luxurious and contemporary designed, this hotel is now the choice of stay while on business in Sydney. This hotel is very clean, comfortable, and spacious. When entering the hotel lobby, it already tells me this is a high end hotel. I didn't get to use all the facilities as this was a short 24 hour overnight visit. My room had a queen bed, mini fridge, large TV, black out curtains, medium size bathroom with plenty of counter space, standup shower, extra towels, Nespresso coffee maker, iron & ironing board, office desk, lounge chair also equipped with central air conditioning and secured elevator. Front desk was extremely warm and welcoming with assistance with wake up calls, room service information and directions getting around the city. Nearby eateries can be found in the Queen Victoria Building, The Galleries, and along George Street. The Hilton has an Executive Lounge with complimentary breakfast, but my booking didn’t include it. Other popular points of interest that is nearby and within walking distance is Westfield, Hyde Park, Darling Harbor, The Rocks and Sydney Opera House. Everyone should make Hilton Sydney Hotel your choice of stay in the heart of the CBD. Offering complimentary access to Fitness First located right in the basement level of the hotel and is open 24/7. When or if I'm back again, l'a love to discover the Alysium Day Spa. Also would treat myself to an early breakfast buffet. Hotel is also equipped with high-speed WiFi access and has event space for meetings and weddings.

We recently enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Sydney Hilton. As a Hilton Diamond member who stays at Hilton properties around the world, I have experienced many Hilton hotels, and the Sydney Hilton certainly lived up to our expectations. Our room was excellent, and being on a high floor was a real bonus. Two staff members in particular deserve special mention. JoJo, who works in the main restaurant during breakfast, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, and her great sense of humour made breakfast an even more enjoyable experience. Ariyani, in the Executive Lounge, was also outstanding. She was extremely helpful, attentive and genuinely made an effort to look after the guests in the lounge. Overall, we had a great stay at the Sydney Hilton and would be very happy to return. The excellent service from staff such as JoJo and Ariyani really helped make our stay memorable.

The biggest NEGATIVE of this hotel is they charge for using your credit card - it is really a 'scam' if you ask me. I am a very well travelled individual - at least one long haul flight every six weeks or so and I have NEVER EVER been charged a fee at ANY HOTEL EVER for using my credit card. A really disappointing trick, against we the customer - it is not the money its the PRINCIPLE - just be honest with people and if it is a cost, then just add it to the rack rate. The also charge a credit card fee when ordering drinks and food - I let the serving staff know that they were only getting half a tip due to this poor ethic. In terms of location the Hotel t is in 'pole position' for trains (direct from the air[port) almost drops you off at the door - door waste money on taxis from the airport take the train. Trams - right outside the hotel - lots to see and do in the hotel's immediate vicinity. Great reception staff (Shout Out for Janne) really professional and great upgrades without any fuss. Exec lounge pretty good actually - lovely attentive staff - pleasantly laid out - great service. Restaurants and bars OK - OK value for money - but they do charge almost 2% credit card fee!! - ridiculous in this day and age. All the other hotels I stayed in on my travels in Oz did not carry out this underhand way of working. Rooms are pretty good standard - good linen and good décor although certain aspects of the hotel were a little on the 'weather beaten' side - still a good hotel

Not a great overall experience for me. Stayed multiple days, each morning I turned on the "make up room" which then signals a "green" light that the room should be cleaned. I came home that night to find that the room was untouched and the green light was on. I called the front desk and explained what had happened, just make sure if we cleaned the following day. I heard nothing from Management - no sorry it happened or check to make sure things were to my satisfaction. Very disappointed. The other annoying part of the stay was after taking long flight to get there, no bottle of water in the room, I guess the assumption is everyone knows to bring their water bootle to Hilton Sydney. The glasses in the room were not particularly clean, I instead ventured out and got my own bottle of water. Room service, you order online, in remarks asked for Ketchup & Mustard, received only 1...... the little things.... Positives - Lily (?) at front desk was great. Friendly, professional, helped get me a room before check-in, was wonderful. Gym access to Fitness First top class. Excellent facilities for staying at hotel and very convenient. Hotel location very good! It is the little things that make you a 3 star, 4 star or 5 star, this hotel seems not put any extra effort to make your stay more enjoyable.

I attended AHICE at the Hilton. The Hilton has always been a fantastic conference venue but i was particularly impressed by the high quality of f&b and the hospitality of the staff. High tea on arrival was really lovely, the smoked salmon finger sandwiches were phenomenal, i ate four. Fantastic dilmah tea selection including iced tea! All the food was delicious and beautifully presented, however the mushroom oriechiette in the parmesan wheel was next level and I've thought of it many times since. All of the staff were so warm and attentive and the exec chef is clearly doing an amazing job - well done!
