Well located, impeccable service

My first visit and was positively surprised by the hotel - room size is generous, bathrooms are well equipped and large, and the hotel service was impeccable! Too cold to swim in the rooftop pool but amazing views for a warmer weather swim. A great areas of Local shops and restaurants and close to other shopping precincts and right on the harbour.

Good time in Double bays

This hotel is located in double bays area, calm and easy to access just 5 minutes walking to the beach and ferry pier. Many awards winning restaurants around the hotel by walk. If you prefer to take a break from the city area, this place is still vibrant and take 15 minutes boat to circular quay. Room was nice as standard of Intercontinental, also the service in club lounge and front (actually all staff) was perfect. You gonna love this place.

We did the Winter Dome dinner! Its amazing and staff were lovely! We told them out dietary requirements and they were so accomodating. We had nice fish and chickpeas and cheesy arichini balls. Nice baba ghanoush and also amazing hummus! Very satisfied

Paradise under the stars

Tonight we wanted something special so so we went to the intercontinental hotel double bay and we were fortunate to meet KHAN on level L in the restaurant it was already busy and we wanted somewhere quiet as we had a older gentleman with us. He said I know just the place. KHAN to us to level 2 opened a door to take us outside. And there we saw paradise three huge plastic igloos Decked out like a private dining room for each group one table in each igloo a heater one table with candles and flowers on it a chandelier and white comfortable chairs each with a white fur blanket for each person. The food was fabulous and we had the most wonderful lady looking after. Her name was AURORA wonderful service. Stars stars stars. And ingenious idea Will definitely do it again.

Poorly handled missing dress

We have stayed more than 10 times because we live the location of the hotel. We have seen big improvements in the breakfast menu and set up though staff remain under trained. However this trip I left a dress in the wardrobe and they initially didn’t believe me, then tried to blame the linen cleaning contractors. They handled it poorly. We saw the dress had been sold on eBay the following week. Very disappointing
