Jonah's Whale Beach

Spent 2 nights at Jonah’s as it was the venue for our son’s wedding. Everything was 5 Star from the moment we arrived. We had flown in from Queensland and organised to be picked up. It was about 90minutes in traffic. Our room was spacious with sensational views from our balcony. We had dinner in the restaurant after drinks on the main balcony, complimentary Bollinger! Our meal was very good, Yellow Fin Tuna & Bug Spaghetti, with great service. The wedding on Saturday afternoon was exceptional. The service was in the garden, followed by canapés and drinks on the balcony then dinner in the restaurant. I can’t compliment the staff enough, they were fantastic! It was a special day/night that we will always remember. We had breakfast the next morning, with good choices available. I would recommend Jonah’s without hesitation. It’s a little out of the way from other restaurants, so if you are wanting to venture out and about you will need a car. We thoroughly enjoyed the wedding and our short break away!

Outstanding experience overall, from the welcome at reception, the quality of the rooms, the service in the restaurant and bar. A most memorable couple of days.

We went to Jonah's for the final two nights of our trip to Australia. It was a fabulous end. We had a very comfortable bedroom with a small private terrace overlooking the beautiful Whale beach which is a 15 minute walk away. We had a delicious lunch there on arrival and enjoyed breakfast on both mornings. The service was excellent and friendly. The hotel organised our transfer to Sydney airport with a very nice local company.

The minute you arrive at Jonah's, to the charming smile & greeting of Sage, you feel immediately "at home". The rooms are spacious with wonderful beds & a panoramic view of the beach & ocean beyond. The restaurant with the attentive staff offer diners exceptional dishes so beautifully presented that its a sin not the photograph them first, then tuck in. Even breakfast is an event to enjoy. With the freshest of fruit, home made muesli, croissants & jams before the main even arrives. Your choice of several five star menu items. All this is seamlessly managed by Jez in the restaurant & Nielz Jonah's Manger who finds the time to chat to guests while recommending a spectacular selection of cocktails.

From the time of arrival to our departure the next morning, Jonah’s delivers an excellent experience. Sparkling wine and cheese board was a very welcome treat which we enjoyed from our ocean view suite balcony. Dinner served with ocean views was delicious and well above expectations. A very restful sleep after a spa and drinks on our balcony. Breakfast again with ocean and beach views was a highlight. A quick swim in the hotel pool was a perfect way to finish our stay. Attentive, friendly, welcoming and professional staff with a strong focus on excellent hospitality was another highlight of our stay @ Johans. Highly recommended for an awesome stay in a special Sydney icon.
