Jonah's Whale Beach

It was our 50th wedding anniversary and we felt that we would like to be looked after. Well, we were looked after by one of the best staffs that we have ever experienced. Reception, dining room, lounge - wherever we were, the staff must be given a 10/10 and it came naturally, not contrived. The experience from rooms, and views to food and drink were superb. We were impressed by the gifts that we got - the chocolates and the pair of wine glasses. One does not have a 50th wedding anniversary every day so let us say, thank you so much Jonah's. It could not have been better.

I organised a special treat for my husband and we were both blown away. From when we first arrived and greeted in a professional, friendly manner, we were offered a glass of champagne and we couldn't stop smiling. The decor and the view were mind blowing. When we entered our room we couldn't believe the view, decor and the detail and quality of everything. During our evening meal we again experienced very professional, friendly customer service and the quality and presentation of the food was superb. On top of that we were privileged to meet Georgina, the head sommelier. Each course was matched with a wine perfect for the flavours in the meal. Georgina also gave us a comprehensive summary of the wines and how they matched the food. We are very interested in wine so it was appreciated. Our whole experience was above expectation and there were more treats to follow - WOW!

My husband and I went on the Winter Wellness Package Deal - Dinner, Bed & Breakfast on 17 August 2025. Can highly recommend this mini-break package. Delicious food (dinner & breakfast were exceptional), beautiful room furnishings and we loved the finishing touches like the welcome glass of complimentary Bollinger on arrival and the engraved wine glasses and handmade chocolates on departure. I would like to highlight the exceptional people working at Jonah’s, beautiful food and beverages. The room with the view and amenities are of the highest standard. The tasty three course dinner and breakfast was outstanding. The beautiful gift on departure was a surprise.

Quite honestly every aspect of our one night stay was perfect - from the moment of our arrival with the welcome glass of Bolinger to our lovely room with balcony and spa to the absolutely outstanding three-course meal at the restaurant, chocolate gift, breakfast and departure gift - just wow! We travel quite a lot and have stayed at some very good hotels around the world and we both feel that Jonah's is world class. The staff is extraordinary - very professional, yet caring and welcoming.
