Reviews for Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour

So sad to see this place not at its former glory.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Wow! We have being coming here for nearly 30 years every year for a number of days for an annual getaway. We love this place. It’s so sad to see it going downhill. If you’re lucky enough to get David on the front desk on arrival he is absolutely brilliant. Always looks after us, exceptional customer service. Cannot fault the harbour view just beautiful. To sit on that balcony and watch the harbour in all its glory fantastic. The apartment is spacious but it’s getting so dated. The blind on the balcony hasn’t worked for the last few years. Seriously do you know how hot it gets on that balcony. Housekeeping so hit and miss. How many times do you have to ring up to get coffee or tea bags replenished. If your cooking yourself not much by way of equipment- our oven didn’t have a tray in it - had to ring and ask!! Seriously not good enough for the price you pay at this establishment. We have been staying on the 4th floor because we like it but I really hope things improve otherwise we may have to find another favourite place in Sydney.

Cockroaches in room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We are here now and are half way through our 8 night stay. On the 2nd day we saw cockroaches in our room and complained. We were told the room would be sprayed immediately. However, 24 hours later and we have more cockroaches in the room. The duty manager has said they will send someone up to sweep them away if we point them out! I asked about the spray and he said they will do that but can’t find any spray at the moment - makes me wonder if they bothered spraying yesterday. We’ve stayed here several times over the last few years and it is definitely going downhill. There are also maintenance issues - broken iron, broken balcony blinds (no sign of the blind being repaired despite our request 2 days ago) but the cockroaches and manager attitude to the problem is the worst. We will never stay here again and will be looking for a clean hotel to move to tomorrow.

Great hotel, great location. Really warm and welcoming

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

Me and my wife stayed here as the last hotel of a 6 week trip around Australia and New Zealand and wanted to stay somewhere special to mark the end of a special trip. We usually stay around Darling Harbour when in Sydney so this was a real change for us. We stayed in a lux harbour view room and it didn’t disappoint. The view was amazing, with easy transport links right outside. Being able to sit on the balcony and watch the Cruise ships departing was lovely, especially with the views of the bridge as a backdrop.

Good Experience for a Special Occasion

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

My wife and i stayed in a De Luxe harbour view room for 5 nights to celebrate 80th Birthday and Diamond Wedding Anniversary.Joey Chung Reservations Supervisor attended to room decorations and provided Champagne and nibbles.Excellent job Joey very much appreciated and this made a surprise welcome. Room was clean and very quiet, together with a very comfortable bed.Excellent views of harbour to enjoy with a good champagne.Unfortunately not long after arriving we had to change rooms due to aircon not working. This was not a major problem. We definitely chose the right hotel to celebrate our special occasions.

Amazing Pullman Grand Quay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

My family and I stayed 4 nights at Pullman Grand Quay. We were in the 2 bedroom apartment overlooking the garden. It was the best hotel we stayed in during the 2 week trip. The apartment was very spacious and very clean. Garden view is nothing special but we did get to see the Sydney Opera House from the balcony. Location is unbeatable for tourists who want to be in the thick of the action. The lift goes directly to the 1st floor which opens up to the promenade and wharfs. Step through the glass doors and immediately soak up the bustle and vibes of Sydney. Sydney Opera House is a 7 min walk away. The trams and monorail both stop a short walk away. Breakfast is ala carte style, not buffet, not unlimited. It is definitely quality over quantity. We tried most of the items on the menu during our stay and all were good. The pizzeria attached to the hotel has very nice food, definitely recommend it. We will stay in Pullman again if we visit Sydney again!
