Rising over Darling Harbour, W Sydney instantly captures the eye with the undulating lines of its futuristic exterior and striking interiors that pay homage to the hotel’s NSW locale. Daring and original, a sleek retreat where bold design meets the larrikin spirit, seamlessly melding Sydney and Australia’s cultural touchstones to create an all-encompassing dining and social destination. The Darling Harbour hotel transforms as day turns to night, from the evocative future-noir allure of the Living Room bar and kinetic energy of BTWN restaurant to AWAY Spa, a refreshing sanctuary amid its concrete city surrounds, and the panoramic harbor views from WET Deck and double story rooftop bar, 29/30. Within each of W Sydney’s guest rooms, suites, and studios, marine chic design interiors channel the hotel’s harbourside location and Sydney’s stunning coastlines. W Sydney is ahead of the curve, making room for renegades to eat, drink, play, and stay in inimitable style.

The W around the world is my favourite brand of hotel. From the moment you walk in you are welcomed with warmth and 5 star service. Special shout out to the guys downstairs who got us Ubers and taxis, looked after our luggage and took photos for us! I was so spoilt with a special birthday / engagement set up in my room and it was so beautiful. It really helped create memories. I stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was huge with amazing harbour views. The cuffed downstairs in the morning was excellent and check in and check out were so easy. Thank you so much to all the staff who made my weekend with friends so fabulous and special.

First time in Sydney and got a 2 bed studio room which is great for family trip as there is an open kitchen and a washer+dryer to deal with used clothing and all that. Location wise it is at the Darling Harbour which feels relatively quiet compared to Circular Quay area, so the environment was quiet enough for sleep (and we don't hear anything upstairs or next to us), except for several of those showy drivers with loud pipes loaded on their vehicles zooming across the highway right in front of the hotel during early hours. View is always beautiful. Perhaps a good idea to pre order pillows if reservations permit, as we didn't manage to find the "best" ones for ourselves. Quality of pillows and beddings were alright so don't be taken aback. Staff members were amenable and attentive. There are a lot of nice cafes and restaurants within 10 minutes walk so we always manage to find new restaurants to try and fortunately the food they served were all delicious. So maybe there is no need to reserve for breakfast during the stay and remain flexible on meals? The CBD and China Town are also within walking distance and this makes travelling real convenient as we can always take public transport and walk back to hotel quickly for rest. Overall the experience was wonderful and we will most probably stay again when we next visit Sydney, so we can try out their pools and other facilities.
