Amazing hotel and staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect—from the rooms to the service. The staff were all friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to the breakfast waiter called “Reda” who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and professional. He truly went above and beyond to make every morning enjoyable and made our stay even more special. We highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to come back!

Special place for those looking for an ocean getaway

Fantastic stay. Really enjoyed the executive suite, strong customer service, and extensive breakfast menu. Delicious Moroccan food for dinner. But what’s most stand out about the property is the location and the nature around it. Incredible spacious beach with beautiful ocean — swimming in the ocean at sunset or going on morning walks was pure bliss.

Short Family Vacation

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Exceptional hotel for my family and I for a short vacation. Provided very detailed care alongside amazing facilities and services befitting the standards of Hyatt. Great location to experience Morocco, with Agadir only 30 minutes away, as well having your own private beach with surfing and other activities available.

Exceptional!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency Taghazout and travelled there as a couple. When we arrived, the hotel lounge was undergoing refurbishment. However, there was very little visible work taking place, so the disruption was minimal and did not affect our stay. We booked a half-board package that included breakfast and dinner. In hindsight, I would recommend booking breakfast only or just bed and exploring the local restaurants in Taghazout for lunch and dinner. There were several occasions when we either skipped breakfast or did not eat dinner at the hotel, which meant that part of what we paid for went unused. We also found that the dinner options available to half-board guests were somewhat limited. The hotel has a beautiful beachfront restaurant, as well as another restaurant with a bar, both of which looked very appealing. However, these venues were not included in the half-board package, and since we had already paid for our meals in advance, we felt less inclined to dine there. Had we booked accommodation with breakfast only, we would have had more flexibility to enjoy these restaurants and explore other dining options in the area. That said, the hotel itself was lovely with the most beautiful seafront views, and we had a wonderful and relaxing time overall. Despite the points mentioned above, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Great hotel, lovely staff!

We generally enjoyed our 7 night stay at the Hyatt. The hotel itself is beatifully furnished and very well cared both inside and around the pool area and grounds. We upgraded to a sea view which meant our room was directly above the reception area overlooking the pool area but it looks directly out to sea. There are only 2 floors of bedrooms so a 'high' room isn't an option but the close proximity to the pool area wasn't an issue regarding noise. There are plenty of sunbeds for everyone and didn't experience the dreaded bed blocking although a few towels did appear early on. We chose to spent our time at the adult only pool down by the beachand promenade which was very relaxing. We hadn't realised the week we had booked coincided with Moroccan and French school holidys. If you don't want children around, do search online for school holiday dates. It would have been much quiter without families around but with the adult only pool a fair distance away from the main pools, it didn't impact our stay too much. There are 2 padel courts available but you will have to pay to play. At the time of our stay it converted to £41 for 1.5 hrs. Because you need to pay, the courts will more than likely be available though. For us, the only disappointment of our stay was the food. We'd booked half board so ate at the restauarant every evening. One of us is pescatarian the other vegetarian., There is plenty of salad avaialbale at the buffet but we'd really hoped for some tasty vegatable tagines. We were in the home of tagines after all. Alas the vedgetable tagine was to be honest, pretty boring. No chickpeas, lemons or apricots, just a load of potatoes, carrots, a small amoint of aubergine and a hint of morrocan spices. We spoke to the restauarant manager and expressed our disappointment. She was so nice and said she'd ask the chef to make an individual tagine the following evening and upon arrival the next day, she found us and asked that we let her know when we were ready for it. Unfortunately the tagine was just an individual serving of the same buffet offering. We certainly can't fault the service and sentiment, just disappointing the kitchen couldn't do something better. The fish dish didn't change day to day either. Again disappointing as Morocco is a big fishing nation with plenty of restauarants in Taghazout offering a variety of grilled fish. I'm going to make a suggestion. If you are not in to eating as much as you can at a buffet, maybe consider going bed & breakfast and eat at Sud 17KM, the hotel restaurant by the beach. It has a great a la carte menu and waiter service and potentially can work out cheaper if you don't do 3 courses. The menu can be seen on their website so do your sums. In summary, we loved the hotel and the staff can't do enough for you. They are genuinely lovely people. The only negative for us was the lack of tasty vedgie main dishes. Of course, that's not going to be an issue for most people so I'd still highly recommend the hotel
