W Taipei

Outstanding experience. I was choosing between the Capella and the W. We decided to go with the Capella as we were staying with friends who preferred the W. What a pleasant surprise. From the porters (super organised always willing to call a taxi and translate destinations) to the housekeeping staff (no request too onerous), the service was faultless across the 7 days we stayed there. In room dining came within 20min. The suite was spacious, modern and with of the fluffiest towels and lovely frette gowns. The welcome amenity was delicious with a fun icing kit for kids and a map with places to go for all sorts of activities. The room was perfectly appointed most needs anticipated (incl. chrome cast that worked seamlessly and usbc in wall sockets). I loved the ravines products (shampoo, conditioner and body wash) as this is the brand I use at home. The location couldn’t be more ideal- navigating the shopping districts with the skywalks was super handy in the rain and going down to b2 brought one straight to a food court as well as the MRT. A godsend with the weather! Well done to the team and thank you for a very special introduction to Taiwan that will make us want to come back for more.

Such a fun stay in Taipei! What a great, great hotel! The W Taipei is such a fun and beautiful place to stay and really added to our time in the city. The entire hotel has such a cool energy, and the bar and pool are both fantastic! The bar also offers a happy hour from 5–7 PM, which was such a fun little treat and a great way to start the evening. The breakfast buffet was great with plenty of options, and our room was a decent size and very comfortable. What really stood out, though, was the staff—everyone we interacted with was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and welcoming. Also, a great rooftop bar!!! The location is also perfect. You can easily walk to so much nearby, and public transit makes getting around the rest of Taipei incredibly convenient. If you’re looking for a hotel that’s beautiful, lively, comfortable, and in a great location, W Taipei is a must-stay. We absolutely loved it!

This W hotel is okay. It does not provide a personalized service. The concierge politely referred us to check on Google when asked for a local recommendation. We needed 5 plates for dinner in our room (not ordered through the hotel) and Room Service informed us that they only give a maximum of 3 bowls (not plates) and cutlery. There was a slight mix-up by Housekeeping and the floor manager came to personally apologize along with a nice bottle of wine which was a kind gesture. The restaurant has a fast paced, cafeteria-like atmosphere and the staff seem friendly. Each time we went to the restaurant for breakfast, before being seated, we were asked to sign the bill for our extra guest. There is a $69 USD daily charge for a roll-away bed. This W hotel gives the feeling that they need to watch every penny. Next time in Xinyi, I would like to stay at a different hotel for a more memorable experience.

Solid W experience like always Check in fine - maybe cultural but not the typical warm Marriott check in. Strangely, not even a mention of Bonvoy loyalty at checkin That’s never happened - whether a Courtyard or W or St Regis. Loyalty has *always* been mentioned at check-in. Except this time. Gym was huge and outstanding Lobby bar is great Rooms were on the smaller side for the price Slight annoyance - the roof bar was “closed for a private event”. Not cool if you’re a paying hotel guest. Perhaps the W Taipei experience was tarnished by coming directly from the W Osaka, which was spectacular in every way. Overall I love W and Marriott Just might need to skip the Taipei product in future

We had a very enjoyable stay at W Taipei. In our opinion, the hotel has one of the best locations in Taipei, with excellent access to shopping, restaurants, public transport and the main attractions of the Xinyi District. Our room had a fantastic view of Taipei 101, which was one of the highlights of the stay. The room felt modern, clean and well maintained, with a comfortable layout, good amenities and plenty of space to relax. Despite the lively atmosphere in the public areas, our high-floor room was remarkably quiet throughout the day and night, allowing us to rest comfortably without disturbance. The atmosphere is quite different from the more traditional luxury hotels we usually choose. W Taipei has a youthful, energetic and almost party-like character, with bold and creative design throughout the property. We found this refreshing and enjoyable, while the room itself still felt comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection and attentive service. The concierge team was also very helpful in arranging our airport transfers both to and from the hotel, making the journey smooth and convenient. We were particularly impressed by the doormen and bell team at the entrance. They were consistently professional, welcoming and highly service-minded, assisting with our luggage and arranging taxis whenever needed. The hotel is in a premium price category, but we felt it offered good value considering the excellent location, Taipei 101 view, room quality, facilities and high standard of service. Overall, W Taipei provided a stylish, comfortable and memorable stay. We would happily return and strongly recommend booking a Taipei 101-view room.
