About the Hotel

Sabah’s House, a luxurious and stylish Riad Boutique is the only 5* hotel set in the heart of Tangier’s exotic Kasbah. The house has been built along Art Deco lines and the detail of the interior design focuses on a private collection of paintings, artwork and the tools and products of Moroccan craftsmanship. The owners successfully achieve an authentic, sensuous Moroccan “feel”, embracing old and new. There are 6 suites, all named after, and designed around, world-famous individuals who have at one time or another been closely associated with Tangier and their lives and their connections with Tangier are well documented – Malcolm Forbes, Barbara Hutton, Ibn Battouta, Liz Taylor, Mick Jagger and Antoni Gaudi.

Reviews for Saba's House - Ryad Dar Saba

Breakfast is the only meal provided here

Great location with friendly and accomodating staff. We were surprised when we arrived that the hotel does not provide dinner as we expected. Instead, we were taken to a local restaurant where a reservation had been made for us. The food there was so so and the music was loud. The restaurant detracted from the overall hotel experience.

Lovely time here

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

As others have mentioned, a first rate experience here. As soon as you step in you will be welcomed in a beautifully smelling oasis of calm. We were ably assisted by Zaqi who dealt with all our needs. The rooftop views are really stunning and this was one of the few establishments in Tangiers where you could drink beer and wine during Ramadan! The breakfasts are scrumptious and the rooms are beautiful. My only criticism is that there was a lack of windows in our room with the main window overlooking the corridor so we had to keep our curtains closed. As a result though we spent a lot of time on the spectacular rooftop. Thanks to all the wonderful staff for making our stay so memorable.

A terrific time in Tangier

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Saba's house is a special, intimate, welcoming place in the heart of the old Kasbah of Tangier. My wife and I had a fabulous nine-day stay at Saba's house, which was wonderful in every way. We were welcomed warmly by the very professional staff and were lucky enough to meet Roya Lamine, the owner, who provided us with guidance about the many things to do and see in and around Tangier and arranged for drivers and guides. The riad itself is beautiful, and it has a lovely rooftop space (both enclosed and open) that looks out over the harbor of Tangier, the Strait of Gibraltar, and, in the distance across the Strait, Spain. The breakfasts at Saba's House are, as so many reviewers have said, simply amazing. All in all, a truly special place in a fascinating, appealing city. Our thanks to Roya and everyone on her team.

Great Tangier Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We had the Rolling Stones experience over 4 days!! Great room, clean and neat, all facilities etc. The riad is a dream, a proper Morrocan experience. The rooftop dining area and bar to die for ... those views across Tangier, the bay, Spain are stunning. We saw sunrise and sunset from that roof; very nice .... The service was excellent and the staff are so helpful.` The riad is wonderfully located in the heart of the Medina. most things to see are walkable but taxis are easy to get and good value. We had an arranged half day private trip to Hercules cave (nothing special) but the trip and stop offs were excellent especially the Cap Spartel lighthouse. Defo recommend Ahlen restaurant (tagine, cheeses to die for) and Le Saveur du Poisson (ahhh the fish yummy!). Again all walkable from Saba's House; try also the Salon Bleu / 5 mins walk from Sabas by the Kasbah - great Morrocan tapas and mint tea; also close to a must visit Gallery Conil Overall ... Saba's offers plenty of satisfaction!!

Central Tangier hotel

An excellent place to stay in central Tangier. Very friendly and helpful staff and the rooms are clean and comfortable. They are well equipped with tea/coffee making facilities and fresh fruit and water. Highly recommended, hopefully we will be back soon.
