Sabah’s House, a luxurious and stylish Riad Boutique is the only 5* hotel set in the heart of Tangier’s exotic Kasbah. The house has been built along Art Deco lines and the detail of the interior design focuses on a private collection of paintings, artwork and the tools and products of Moroccan craftsmanship. The owners successfully achieve an authentic, sensuous Moroccan “feel”, embracing old and new. There are 6 suites, all named after, and designed around, world-famous individuals who have at one time or another been closely associated with Tangier and their lives and their connections with Tangier are well documented – Malcolm Forbes, Barbara Hutton, Ibn Battouta, Liz Taylor, Mick Jagger and Antoni Gaudi.

Dar Saba is located in a prime spot in the Tangier medina, away from the souqs. It’s a refined riad, with very kind and professional service. A charming bar is the highlight of the reception room, which also features cozy nooks with armchairs. The room decor pays homage to famous foreigners who loved Tangier. It may not appeal to more sophisticated tastes, but it is well executed for what it intends to be. We stayed in the Gaudí room—very small, but well equipped, comfortable, and functional. The shower is wonderful. The Moroccan-style breakfast is excellent and served on a terrace with a spectacular view of the city marina and the Strait of Gibraltar. In the distance, you can see Spain.

We were supposed to stay here but my husband decided last minute that he wanted to stay at a hotel with full services and a pool. The customer service before our arrival was amazing. They helped planned our stay and restaurants. Even after I cancelled, they understood and were very kind. Based on our experience, and if you want to stay at a Riad, this with be your place.

Never have we experienced the attention to detail and service from a hotel, boutique or otherwise. Staff was amazing! From the time we entered, multiple staff assisted everything from luggage, information, car service and amazing food.

We rarely give five stars for hotels and restaurants but this fully deserves it. The staff deliver 5 star service to guests - nothing is too much trouble. They will make restaurant reservations and if required, they will take you there. If it is your first visit to the Medina ask tne hotel to pick up from the port. Very straightforward to get about after a day of familiarization and get the coaches for the day trips

Stayed here for 2 nights to celebrate my birthday. The staff and owner at Saba's house are really something special . They catered to our every need and even arranged a surprise for my birthday with cake , balloons and song. Incredible! The Riad itself is wonderful with comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms all named and inspired by famous people connected with Tangier. We stayed in the Forbes suite which had an Art Deco vibe. The lovely owner lady- Roya - is a patron of Moroccan artists and there are many interesting artworks all around the hotel. There is a fantastic terrace with views across the strait of Gibraltar where you can enjoy a delicious breakfast , or drinks in the evening. The standout thing about Saba's house is the staff - well done to the team for creating such a beautiful oasis in Tangier. Can't wait to return
