Grand Hotel San Pietro

We were due to go to the Grand Hotel San Pietro in July last year. First of all when we booked our room the hotel took twice the amount from our credit card ( €7548 extra ). We had a right pain actually getting them to repay us. They were totally unhelpful and basically said that we had booked two rooms instead of one. As this was a non refundable rate they didn’t want to repay us! The second €7548 was taken from our account a week after we had booked the room. We actually thought this was fraud, and our bank stated that this should not be done. Took ages to get them to repay us. Unfortunately i had a mini stroke the week before we were due to go and could not fly on doctors advice. On contacting the hotel they were totally unhelpful and when asked for a credit note or ascertaining whether we could move the dates, again they were totally unhelpful and didn’t even reply to our emails or telephone calls. They ( of course ) did not repay us or moved the dates. Awful. Another hotel we booked for the same stay could not do enough for us, immediately gave us a credit note ( even though this booking also was non refundable). We will be visiting this hotel ( Bastio Suites ) in May. We will stay well away from the Grand Hotel San Pietro. Terrible inhuman service.

Absolutely excellent hotel in every way. We think without doubt the best in Taormina having visited most. Fourth visit in August and more cracking every year. The delight of this real oasis is that the hotel is superbly run and has the best staff we have come across (photos below) out of the 23 hotels we have stayed in the last 12 months. Thank you one and all. Especially the boss, Nino and his boys, Gaby at the pool and everyone throughout the bars and restaurants particularly the really considerate breakfast team, reception and rooms team they are all first class Looking forward to next year Happy Christmas to you all

A Truly Unforgettable Stay From the moment we arrived, this hotel exceeded every expectation. The location is unbeatable, steps from the heart of the town yet peacefully tucked away with superb views that left us speechless. Waking up to that panorama every morning felt like a dream. The breakfast was nothing short of spectacular: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But what made it truly special was the staff, they remembered us from day one and reserved the perfect terrace spot for us each morning. That breathtaking terrace became our daily ritual, sipping coffee with the skyline unfolding before us. The staff are the soul of this hotel. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, And the service? Outstanding. We returned from breakfast one day to find our room freshly cleaned, the floor sparkling as if just washed, such thoughtful attention to detail. The people make the hotel, and here, they are exceptional. Clean, luxurious, and infused with heart, this is more than a stay; it’s an experience we’ll cherish

We stayed here for the first time in Taormina and had an absolutely unforgettable experience. The hotel is exceptional — from the stunning views to the impeccable service. Every detail felt thoughtful, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Huge thanks to Alessio and Christian for taking such great care of us. We can’t wait to come back!

What an awesome stay at the Grand Hotel San Pietro! The shuttle to the main area of Taormina was very helpful for us. Our room was wonderful. The housekeeping staff was excellent. The food was very good but the buffet breakfast was my favorite. There was live entertainment at the bar a couple nights. All the bartenders were great. The entire staff was always friendly and engaging. Everything was perfect...the room, staff, food, location.....we cannot wait to return!
