Hotel Villa Ducale

A family of 5, we stayed here 4 nights and loved it. Great views, rooms, an outstanding restaurant and bar. But the staff here raises the experience to another level. The concierge, Giuliano, had set up with tours prior to our arrival. These were 1st rate recommendations. Tour of Castelmola in a vintage Ape, an informative guided tour of Greek theatre and through the town. The desk staff was always attentive, friendly and personable and great with restaurant recommendations. No doubt we would return to Villa Ducalle

Loved our stay in this boutique hotel right in the heart of the old city. Perfectly positioned in a small street near to the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, surrounded by bars, restaurants and shops. The room was spacious and beautifully presented but the best part was the staff. Nothing was too much trouble, great recommendations for tours and transport and the best breakfast I’ve experienced in some time. Highly recommend a stay here and I am sure we will return.

We had our honeymoon here in 2001, came back for our 25th anniversary, and we weren't disappointed. Everything was just sublime, breakfast was just as we remembered it, we ate dinner here twice and both times it exceeded expectations. The new infinity pool was ideal for a cool off mid afternoon. The staff were all fantastic, but a special shout out to Max, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, he truly is an asset to the business.

We came to Hotel Villa Ducale 25 years ago for our honeymoon, so decided to come back to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary especially as still run by the same family. The hotel and it's staff couldn't be more welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and everyone looked after us so well! Even before we arrived the reception staff were on hand to help with transfers and arrange trips. A lovely addition to the hotel since our last visit is the infinity pool which like many parts of the hotel has amazing views! 🥰 Breakfast every day was exceptional and again the staff serving you were amazing with a special thanks you to Max who really looked after us every day! We didn't want to leave and would definitely like to return again - sooner than 25 year time though! Thank-you to all for making our trip so memorable.

I will echo everyone’s previous excellent reviews of this gem of a hotel. From the warm and friendly welcome from Santina onwards this hotel delivered on every level. The location is amazing, high above the town with wonderful views across to Mt Etna, up to Castelmola and down over the coastline. The breakfast and dinner were very good and obviously the views from the restaurant enhanced the experience. Our room was nicely decorated in calm colours and our non-feather bedding request was not a problem. Lovely relaxing pool area too. We used the shuttle service a couple of times but a taxi fare one way was a set 20 Euros otherwise. Two other excellent staff to name check: Massimo and Brenda. Highly recommended!
