This resort is amazing! Beautiful views of the ocean. The staff were fantastic - very friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Our room was very large and laid out in a great, functional way. The food was fantastic! We loved the entire stay! Airport transport was included as well.

It’s hard to put into words how special this place is. It may sound cliché, but from the moment we arrived, we could literally feel ourselves relaxing. We were warmly welcomed by Storm, the incredible front office manager, who knew all our names immediately and greeted us with a delicious welcome drink. Our bags were whisked away to our individual bures, and we were encouraged to head straight to the main dining area for lunch. Lunch was hosted by Raymond, who quickly became a familiar and friendly face at every breakfast and lunch. The food throughout our four-night stay was absolutely exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Breakfast offered a great variety: eggs (any style), pancakes, French toast, omelets, bacon, ham, sausage, and more. For lunch and dinner, we typically chose between two options (usually meat or fish), with selections made after breakfast. My wife and son are both vegetarian, and the chef went out of his way to prepare special meals for them every day. While the menu is limited in choices, the quality more than made up for it. Unless you're particularly picky, I doubt you'll have any complaints—and I’m sure the staff would gladly accommodate special requests. The resort consists of just a dozen or so individual bures, each with space for two guests (though I believe there’s a family bure as well). My wife and I stayed in one, while our 23-year-old son and 20-year-old daughter shared another. Both had stunning ocean views and featured both indoor and outdoor showers. The rooms are air-conditioned—definitely recommended for the bedroom area on warmer days (though cooling the entire bure isn’t really necessary). Just steps from the resort’s beach is some of the best snorkeling we’ve ever experienced. We also went scuba diving off Taveuni for a couple of days—which was spectacular—but honestly, the snorkeling right off the beach was nearly as impressive. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive. Ric, the owner, was warm and welcoming, full of fascinating stories about life on Taveuni—he and his wife, Do, have been here since 1968. Their dogs, Mia and Peter (along with a few others whose names escape me), were equally friendly and added to the homey, relaxed atmosphere. If I had one very minor critique, it would be the slow internet—but in hindsight, that was probably a blessing in disguise. It encouraged us to unplug and truly enjoy the experience.

My partner and I stayed at the Resort for 1 week and were so impressed. The views are beautiful, the gardens are lush, the food is tasty, and the atmosphere is so peaceful. What makes this 5 stars are the staff. From the moment we booked, Storm took amazing care of us, anticipating our needs in advance. She is absolutely amazing, and could teach courses in Hospitality. Raymond and the team provided incredible service at the restaurant, personalising our experience and ensuring we were as relaxed as possible. We look forward to returning!! Vinaka xo

We had the most incredible stay at Taveuni Island Resort. You have never met more friendly people at the resort and on the island in general. We were upgraded to a gorgeous ocean view villa. Beautiful and comfortable. The food was excellent and the island had so many activities to offer-scuba, snorkeling, sea kayaking, hiking to waterfalls. The front desk arranged everything and on our excursions made us top notch picnics with silverware and napkins. Raymond, June, Millie and Rick made our time at the resort unforgettable. We could not have asked for better accommodations, activities or relaxation. This gorgeous place had it all. Thank you!! We can’t wait to return.

My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at Taveuni resort. The food they prepared for all the meals was really good. And they made our anniversary dinner and evening special for us, even serenading us with a traditional fun song. We really liked the staff. They were friendly, warm, very helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They really made the experience very special. A raincoat would have been very handy at times, and the staff loaned us with an umbrella for use when needed. The cottage we stayed in was very nice and the view spectacular. In fact, the view most anywhere we went was beautiful, spectacular. The staff arranged drivers for us when we went places, and the drivers were informative and nice. We were driven to a parking area near Bouma Falls, and we took about a 15-minute walk to the first waterfall, which is lovely, and we waded and swam in it. We also went to a Catholic Church which was built about 170 years ago. The stained-glass windows were beautiful, and the statues were impressive. The shore is close, and we enjoyed seeing fish and sea creatures in the tide pools. There were also interesting sea creatures under the rocks we turned over.

We had such a wonderful and memorable vacation - Fiji was absolute paradise. It was breathtakingly beautiful and romantic. Taveuni Island Resort was perfect in every way. The owners and staff were so amazing, friendly and helpful. It was very private and intimate. The food was fabulous. I can't even begin to express how beautiful the room was and how much we loved it. My favorite part was the outdoor shower overlooking the ocean. We were so very happy that we had the opportunity to stay at this resort. I would highly recommend this beautiful place to everyone.
