Cucu Hotel

The rooms are on the smaller side and the balcony as well and the view from the balcony is just onto another wall. The hotel room was clean but reminded me more of a hostel due to the decoration. The location is perfect and hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast was good but on the last day the receptionist put us on the smallest table next to the toilet, I asked to sit on another table but she said it is booked for a bigger group, turned out it was for 2 people only and we also booked the restaurant in advance for our breakfast. There were other tables not occupied so not sure why we got this terrible table. This would be a reason of not staying in this hotel again.

We stayed at the Cucu on 3 separate occasions on this visit. Each time the staff were welcoming and helpful, allowing early check in if available, otherwise storing our luggage so that we were free to wander around Tel Aviv. We were in 3 different rooms, each was spotless and comfortable with a fridge, hairdryer and safe. We chose basic rooms which are small but sufficient for a couple, as I would expect in an older hotel in the heart of the city. We had a welcoming large bottle of water on each visit. You must try the lift just for the pleasure of pressing the buttons - I challenge anyone not to smile when they do!!! The breakfast in the restaurant was excellent with a good choice on the menu. There’s a separate a la carte menu and you can upgrade if you choose. The coffee machine downstairs has great coffee and hot chocolate. There’s a choice of teas and hot and cold water. Also jars of tempting sweets in the reception - just help yourself! We found all the receptionists to be friendly and helpful, even when we arrived back to the hotel at 4.30am! Position of the hotel is excellent with plentiful shops and cafes and buses. We chose to walk everywhere - to the Carmel market and the beach (15 minutes if you can manage without a coffee or snack on the way).

Just wonderful. Friendly staff. Great facilities. Free massage was great at another hotel (the Nordoy, with access to their sun deck when we went). Great gym access at nearby Dizengoff Center, including classes. Fantastic location also, with buses and the beach all within easy walking distance.

The coffee machine at the lobby, available and free for 24/7 was great. The coffee was excellent, by the way. The rooms are pretty small but well equipped. We had a beautiful balcony, disconnected from the main road. The staff is very pleasant. We loved it.

The position, the cleanness, the service they offer. The kindness of the staff. The hotel offers everything you need. Nice to have free tea or coffee in the lobby at any time of the day. Thanks staff!
