Beautiful location and a wonderful property. The room was large, set up to feel like a cozy cabin on the mountain. The room had everything we could have asked for, even washer/dryer which really came in handy as we had been on the road traveling for over a week by this point (heavy hiking daily). The parking was valet and easy to access. The check in staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Would ABSOLUTELY recommend this hotel!

My husband and I and our two small children stayed for the 3rd time at the IALC this June. Per usual, it was a lovely stay with excellent service. We stayed in a one bedroom condominium, and the full kitchen was perfect for our little family who needs to eat in often. We were able to use the appliances in the kitchen to handle sanitizing our infant’s bottles, keeping milk cold, etc. The washer/dryer in every suite is always helpful, too! We had a beautiful view facing west and every sunset was gorgeous. One of the BEST things about this hotel is it has A/C!! Most in mountain village do not, and it can get pretty warm during the day during the summer. The location near both gondolas is helpful as well. We have stayed at 3 other hotels in the past in mountain village, but we have continued to return to IALC each Summer! The front desk staff is always friendly, and the chocolate chip cookies in the lobby are always appreciated. We can’t wait to return next summer, or maybe even to ski next winter!

Gorgeous daytime mountain views, attentive, helpful, and patient hotel and restaurant staff, clear star filled night skies, restful and plentiful public places to sit and relax when not walking or hiking. Free Gondola from Mountain Village to Telluride and back was smooth and very scenic. Character and charm worth experiencing.

Excellent location to Mountain Village gondolas, Heritage Plaza and Market Plaza. Friendly and helpful staff— best part of the hotel. Valet parking a must but the vehicles are parked in underground garage and you can access your car via elevator. Just ask staff for keys. Nice Junior Suite with small frig, cook top, and microwave. Frig is too small. Steam in shower and Jacuzzi type tub are nice features. So called included breakfast was disappointing. No better than you might find at a Holiday Inn and even fewer choices. We were not impressed considering the retail price is over 20 dollars a person. The Thai restaurant for dinner was not good. It’s reviewed separately. The cost of food in Telluride and Mountain Village is exorbitant and rarely worth the price of the meal. We recommend a rental and bring your own food. That being said, this is a pleasant hotel and would probably be satisfactory with a change of comestibles. By the way, housekeeping is outstanding.

Arriving a bit late in Telluride for a drive back to Grand Junction the same day, I decided to spend the night at the Inn at Lost Creek. Having checked out the local hotel reviews here on TA, it seemed ILC was a solid option. It being my first time in Telluride, the staff seemed excited that I had chosen their “boutique hotel”. When I booked the room about an hour prior to my arrival, their Web site showed rooms available for (as far as I could tell) every room type. The Studio room they gave me overlooked the waste disposal area which was clearly noticeable from the smell on the balcony. The A/C made a rattling noise. The sitting area consisted of a small high top table with two bar stools pushed against the wall. The front desk offered to move me to a bigger room. This room was located on the west side of the building, right next to the restaurant area of the village and bustled with activity. There was also a pulsating noise the origin of which would eventually (as in 1:35am when it woke me up) be determined to originate from the time share property’s central A/C system. There was some damage to the windows of this room. The furnishings in both rooms seemed characteristic of a mountain lodge. Valet parking was very efficient and courteous. There is no self-parking. While the property may suit other travelers I would not consider returning to an establishment that seems to be more a time share that rents out surplus rooms that are past due for maintenance. Not recommended.
