Mixed reviews from our stay. The hotel is nice with beautiful views. We had two rooms with two king sized beds which accommodated our family with 3 teens very well. The hotel is clean and has a lot of seating indoor/outdoor for relaxing near the lobby. I picked this resort because online information indicated the pool had a slide, for the gym and spa, and because there was a game room… thinking those things would be great for my teens. We were very disappointed to find out our first day that the game room was closed for renovation and the slide is also closed. The restaurant no longer exists in this hotel either, and that was not obvious…there are still signs around the hotel directing you to the restaurant. They have stand alone A/C units added to every room. One of our rooms experienced the unit making a horrible loud sound in the middle of the night and they did come fix it promptly the next day, which we appreciated. The other room’s A/C unit was on the same switch as the light by the bathroom requiring the switch and light to be on for the unit to work which is obviously not conducive for sleeping. I solved this myself by unscrewing the light bulb so my kids could sleep, but I expect better for this level of “resort.” The valets were all wonderful, the rooms are large and accommodated us, and the hotel is close to the Gondola and Mountain Village restaurants and shops. The views are great, but ultimately, this was not the stay we had anticipated. It was better than your average hotel for sure, but for a resort level rating it was “average” for our stay.

Have your wedding here but do not stay here if you want a stress free stay for you and your guests! My family and guests stayed in the 702 penthouse, 3 suites, 6 rooms (reservations were anywhere from 1 week to 4 days). Our wedding day was nothing but magical in every single way! From the food, to the staff, to the venue, it was perfect and everyone thought so! However, our stay comprised of a mysterious and overwhelming fish smell that resulted in needing a room change, a refrigerator not working upon arrival, multiple light bulbs out, maintenance needing to fix a toilet upon arrival, ac unit flooding resulting in my aunt and uncle having to change rooms every single day during their stay and reception being rude about it (their compensation was a valet voucher that did not cover the duration of their stay) trash not being collected for a 5 day duration, dishes not being cleaned for a whole week, etc. There was no transparency when it came to the restaurant being closed until we asked where it was. The Peaks also need clear communication that rooms do not have air conditioning when booking rooms; I made every single reservation on the phone and offering one then would have been helpful instead of figuring it out after we got there. Not to mention that certain rooms are not compatible with air conditioning units and reception acting inconvenienced when asked to have all rooms for our guests ac unit compatible. Valet/bellhop service was great! They were helpful, prompt, and friendly. I am very sad to say we will not be returning to the Peaks for future trips; instead we will go to the Madeline or the Four seasons when it opens!
