The Peaks Resort & Spa

Location is great, walking distance to the gondola, and good places to eat at! Staff is very polite and helpful, and it was a great experience from start to finish, EJ at reception was so warm and hospitable, and since it was our first time both in Telluride and at this hotel, he gave us great tips and advice on the amenities, room use, even to the places we can explore nearby. Amazing customer service and client care. The windows and balcony view of this hotel is so picturesque, and the spa amenities, and hot tub was very pleasant. It was just that it was a floor below the gym and sometimes, the people exercising 1 floor above sauna/steam room would startle you with heavy weights being dropped on the floor. The room was so spacious and the bed is very confortable, with really clean bathrooms and the scent of all shampoos and bath soaps are very relaxing as well. As beautiful as Telluride is to go out and explore, this hotel has a way of pulling you back to your room, and stay in! It was such a nice stay! Highly recommended.

This hotel serves NO MEALS, not even breakfast , to hotel guests. Only a small ground-floor coffee bar without hot food remains. Nor does the hotel offer transportation to to where meals might be available. A once hospitable and comfortable bar room with a wide range of liquors and snacks is now locked closed, replaced by a small bar cart with limited offerings in the hotel's "great room." Its once vaunted heated outdoor pool is no longer heated. High-elevation all but guarantee year-round frigidity Hot tubs, saunas and steamrooms in its men's and women's "kivas," (lockerooms) are no longer operative. Its excercise-equipment fitness center remains impressive; sadly its attendants are gone and no classes of any sort are offered on Saturdays.

The view from our king room was incredible. The fall colors were at their peak with the snowy mountains in the distance. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The food at the cafe was great- we had the shrimp ceviche multiple times. I loved that we could stream movies in our room. The gondola was an easy walk from the hotel. The spa was lovely.

We were on a girls trip, and Cimaron was working the bar. We were celebrating a big birthday! She went above and beyond to make one of our birthdays so special. She also shared some good advice about the area. We'll be back.

We had a lovely time at Peaks resort. Camiron was our waitress/bar tender and she made the evening so special!
