High Expectations Not Experienced
A little background here may help readers in their decision making in choosing a place in Temecula. Two years ago, my wife and I spent five days at Ponte Winery which is adjacent to SCW. We loved everything about our stay and the town of Temecula, which prompted us to return but this time we booked SCW which appeared very nice and offered lovely villas which Ponte did not. We ended up regrating our decision mainly because of the poor physical condition of our villa. The property layout is wonderful, but it needs a major updating. On a positive note, our villa was located only a few steps from a delightful pool, and the pool staff was especially pleasant and helpful. The restaurant is quite large and decent but no match for the small, charming restaurants at Ponte. Bottom line is SCW has lots of untapped potential and is no match for Ponte.

We really relaxed and enjoyed ourselves!
We really enjoyed our stay. The food, service, beauty, and relaxation were very enjoyable! The only suggestion is to add a happy hour with music.

beautiful winery
Four of us came to Temecula and can't wait to come back. It is beautiful and delicious food and wine. We stayed in a villa at South Coast Winery and it was wonderful, clean, the villas were roomy with a wonderful shower. Beds were comfortable. Only wish they didn't have carpet, although the carpet looked new, I love hardwoods, they seem less dusty.

Wine country outside your cottage door
Lovely location not far from Old Town Temecula, Very Friendly check in staff. Beautiful property with flowers and wine vines throughout. Restaurant on the property is warm and cozy.

What a great trip! This hotel is right in the middle of SoCal wine country - a perfect location. The villas are so nice, and perfect for a relaxing, low-key weekend getaway. The food was excellent and the spa was so nice, and very accommodating. And then there is the wine - surprisingly good! Altogether a great long weekend.
