We went for a girls weekend. The hotel was nice. The pool area seemed nice but we didnt get to use due to weather (obviously not the fault of the hotel). We thought the tasting room was ok. The room was overcrowded and there was a huge discrepancy on pours between bartenders. Some would give you less than a sip and others half a glass. So the value for the cost is very dependent on who was serving you. Room was nice enough, but the heater/AC kept alternating during the night and we kept waking up from being hot or cold. It was like the room couldn't maintain a steady temp and went from one extreme to the other. The biggest problem we encountered as a piece of broken glass on the bathroom floor that was discovered in the middle of the night when one of us stepped on it. Looked like a glass had been broken prior to our visit and not been cleaned up properly. Overall the property was ok but for the price I was honestly expecting more. Will probably look elsewhere next time.

We attended a wedding at South Coast Winery Resort and Spa. Very helpful and friendly personnel helped make our stay very enjoyable. The grounds are beautiful. Separate balconies where we watched the sunrise with hot air balloons in the sky over the vineyards. . Large bathroom, 2 sinks with a big counter, big tub, sitting room with a fireplace. Comfortable bed. Clean room. New Keurig coffee maker. We also swam in the pool which is long enough for laps. The area for the wedding ceremony was beautiful, and the dining area was convenient, and there was also a shuttle for those who wanted a ride. A great place for a wedding or a weekend! We want to return and use the rest of the offered amenities: wine tasting, spa, fitness, etc.

We really enjoyed our brief stay at South Coast! The villas was great, spacious and comfortable. We only stayed one night, so we did not have time to really enjoy the beautiful property but we will be back. We visited some other wineries before check-in. Once we arrived at the property, we enjoyed our villa, then visited the pool to cool down, it was great.

Excellent Hotel, great restaurant and fun tasting room. This place is awesome for a weekend wine getaway. Service was top shelf made for a fun experience. We have been here twice now both times were good. Reasonable price and the resort has everything you need.

This location has potential however poor maintenance and lack of attention to detail mean I would never return. The first room we were given (King Villa Suite) was riddled with mold. The hotel moved us to another room which didn't have the same issue. However the room was still sadly dated - fraying carpet, 10 year old furniture, with only 4 bath towels to share for a 3 day stay (apparently you have to reserve housekeeping a day in advance - really are we in the 1990s?) . There were no robes in the room, and no towels by the pool. On the positives the grounds are beautiful and the staff are friendly but I would not return. This was a 2 star stay at 5 star price.

What a great trip! This hotel is right in the middle of SoCal wine country - a perfect location. The villas are so nice, and perfect for a relaxing, low-key weekend getaway. The food was excellent and the spa was so nice, and very accommodating. And then there is the wine - surprisingly good! Altogether a great long weekend.
