This place is absolutely gorgeous. It has a lovely pool and the rooms are luxurious, tucked in among the vineyards. But if you stay there, good luck! My friends and I have stayed in hotels all over the world from Motel 6 to the Four Seasons. And this is honestly some of the worst service we’ve ever had. The key cards for our different rooms kept getting demagnetized. Rather than apologize for the inconvenience, they yelled at us and said we probably had them too close to our phones!! (We have used key cards before and never had these problems.) Everything at the front desk took hours, even if there was only one person in line, and the people working the desk ranged from clueless to outright rude. For example, I asked about coffee in the lobby in the morning, since the restaurant doesn’t open until eight. The woman at the front desk said it only was there on weekends. Weird but OK. The next day was Saturday so I asked her what time it would be there and she said “oh I don’t know, but really early!” I asked what time is early? She said “I don’t know maybe eight?” The restaurant was the same. I would say the food was fine nothing special. But the service was just like the front desk. Nobody wanted to help you if they could avoid it and just getting a cup of coffee, even when they weren’t that busy, took half an hour and five or six different requests As lovely as it is, it just didn’t make for a good experience. It’s a pity because it’s a beautiful property and if they could get it together, it would be great. All things considered we’re gonna stay somewhere else next time. It wasn’t cheap and if you’re spending this much money, I think you expect a certain level of service, at least solid if not outstanding. This does not reach the mark. The bathtub was great though!

Stayed at South Coast Winery because we were attending an event down the road at Wilson Creek Winery. Excellent location. Villa was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Appreciated the fridge/sink area. Ordered a sandwich at the pool and then in-room breakfast the next day. Staff were very pleasant and friendly. Food was expensive but that was standard for the area. Pool area was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend their own brand of champagne! I'd return if I were in the area again.

Beautiful property but the rooms are terrible. We stayed in a king villa thinking it would be great. The pictures looked nice. Couldnt have been further from the truth. The air conditioner smelled so bad as soon as we walked in. Everything is so dated that it made us question the cleanliness. If the room was clean, it sure didnt seam like it. Such a shame because again, beautiful piece of property.

About 15 years ago we stayed in one of the bungalows. This time we stayed in the Romanza Suite in the hotel tower. It was so gorgeous and comfortable. We were right in the middle of a vineyard so we enjoyed eating dinner and breakfast on the patio. It was just so relaxing. Check-in/check-out was simple. The staff all over the resort were very friendly. We walked all over the property and even next door at the adjoining winery/resort. We definitely look forward to our next stay here!

What a great trip! This hotel is right in the middle of SoCal wine country - a perfect location. The villas are so nice, and perfect for a relaxing, low-key weekend getaway. The food was excellent and the spa was so nice, and very accommodating. And then there is the wine - surprisingly good! Altogether a great long weekend.
