We attended their NYE celebration and it was awful. Worst experience ever. They only served appetizers which was like cafeteria food (2 pieces hawaiian rolls with pulled pork, boiled carrots and string beans, chips and salsa. There were also desserts which tasted like days old). The the tribute band was ok however their sound system was so bad. We only stayed for an hour and left before welcoming the new year. We also stayed at the villa room (since we did not want to drive home after the party) and this also needs some updating. Carpet is old and dingy.

I was hesitant to book because of the bad weather, but they told me I could still enjoy certain areas during my stay with my pet, just not the pool. I tried to find someone to watch my 10-pound dog for an hour so I could go to the spa, but I couldn't. I wanted to eat at the restaurant, but they told me I couldn't because they don't allow dogs. I ended up just staying in my room, even though I live only half an hour away, which would have saved me a lot of money if I had just gone there and back. The whole point was to go out and enjoy myself. I also wasn't offered the discounts they said they would provide for the wine tasting. When I tried to make coffee, the machine was dirty. The staff were friendly and the rooms were nice, but in this rainy weather, it's only worthwhile if you absolutely need a place to stay. For sightseeing, dining, and wine tasting, I recommend staying somewhere closer. You'll save a lot of money at another dog-friendly place since you won't be able to enjoy the vineyard in the rain, and the food is expensive to only eat in your room.

This was my first time visiting South Coast Winery Resort. But will not be the last. Beautiful property with great views, staff and rooms. Definitely, a gem worth visiting.

Very nice quaint and cosy experience as a family. We enjoyed the fireplace in the villa, and such a beautiful and nicely heated pool with gorgeous grounds for strolls. All employees were so friendly and helpful.

great resort, bad checkout experience, was rushing us out the door, despite the resort being maybe 25% full that day. lovely romantic rooms, but the staff was rude to get us out of the room despite the wide open availability. Only accommodation was to give us a bottle of wine. Likely will not return.

What a great trip! This hotel is right in the middle of SoCal wine country - a perfect location. The villas are so nice, and perfect for a relaxing, low-key weekend getaway. The food was excellent and the spa was so nice, and very accommodating. And then there is the wine - surprisingly good! Altogether a great long weekend.
