Second stay here and both have been great. The location is excellent, easily walkable to everything I need on my stay. I ended up having a work deadline though didn’t want to change my trip plans. I was pleasantly surprised with the option to get the external display monitors via OutPost. Having these display monitors in my room has made my life so much easier. I’m able to still meet my work deadlines and enjoy my time in Tempe :) this made my trip so much better and is a deciding factor in where to stay. Best of both worlds. Thank you OutPost and Omni Tempe.

I rarely leave reviews but here I am. I booked this hotel 5 months in advance for a 3-day music festival, a 4-night stay. We were traveling from out of state and this was a big gift for my son, just the 2 of us, for a big weekend away. The day of arrival, at 3pm local time, I received a call from Kevin, a supposed supervisor, who very apathetically and unapologetically delivered the news that we would not have a room upon our late arrival because they overbooked the hotel. He stated we would be in a Fairfield Inn 5 miles away- not at all where we wanted to be and definitely not the same quality hotel. On the call, I refused to accept that they were delivering this news to me and very assertively told him to figure something out from us and move something around. He said he would "figure something out", so we arrived at 12:30am and we were sent away, because Kevin did indeed NOT figure something out. We were left to Uber on our own at 12:45am, to a hotel 5 miles away. The hotel we were sent to was fine but not acceptable, not a lateral move. Plus, I have a 17 year old and they gave us a room with a king bed- not ideal to sleep with a 6' tall kid. We were able to check into the Omni the next day at 11am, after Ubering back. Thankfully, a wonderful staff member, Maverick, took care of us upon check in. He was the only kind, patient, problem-solver that we encountered during this ordeal. The only compensation for all of this was $100 food credit and they covered the cost of the lesser hotel room the first night. They still charged full rates for the 3 remaining nights, which were price-gouged due to the festival, so it was almost $500 per night for a mediocre hotel. Overbooking hotels should be illegal. As a travel company owner who only books trips outside of the States, this is NOT something that's accepted in other countries.

Very disappointed with this stay, especially the night of check-in. We told the front desk we were in town for a competition the next morning and requested a quiet room, but were placed on the 3rd floor where loud nighttime race car noise made it very hard to sleep. The receptionist at check-in was dismissive when I asked about breakfast options for 6am, pointing to a closed store and saying she “doesn’t work there” and wouldn’t know what they have. In-room dining was also frustrating — no pre-order option, long wait, unclear answers.

The location is the best part about this hotel, it’s close to the nightlife and other restaurants and activities. The hotel is overall nice and cleanly, but the rooms are a bit cozy for the price. The worst part has to be the noise, none of the doors(at least on my level) had slow close hinges and would slam shut at all hours; this combined with the walls sounding paper thin you could hear random noises, doors slamming, people talking all the way down the hall, and what sounded like someone getting body-slammed into the floor every couple of hours(you could feel the vibration). It was fairly expensive for the room and in my opinion you could find a better place for far cheaper. Also I wish I took a picture but my room directly faced a wall, so I can’t say my view was great either.

Our experience was poor at this hotel. I am going to write the review so you understand what experience you will actually receive. There is no bell service at this hotel. They do not have the kids amenities at this hotel. The rooms are dirty and have holes and tape on the walls. There will be a vent in your room that constantly pumps in hot air. The only recourse will be for them to put cardboard and duct tape to seal it. You will need to hold the toilet handle down like at a truck stop for it to flush. You will stand in a pool of water when showering. Bring your own bar soap to wash your hands in the sink. Otherwise you need to open the shower to get body wash to wash your hands. Luckily there is a CVS across the street. The pool will have trash in it, even if you let front desk know and wait to swim until the next day. If you need anything, ask for Kiana as she is the nicest front desk agent. If you are hungry, Neighborhood Services is fabulous! The staff is great and the food is excellent. Also, their coffee shop has great coffee. Hopefully this helps you to make your own decision on your stay. This hotel is not a typical Omni branded hotel.
