This was our third visit to the hotel and I already look forward to our next! It is a luxurious hotel and all the staff are friendly and helpful and they really want guests to have a wonderful holiday so nothing seems to be too much trouble for them! We wanted a softer mattress or a topper and we got both instantly! We chose a superior room with sitting area and balcony with a lovely view of the mountain! The bathroom was spacious and the shower brilliant! I also loved having a Nespresso machine in the room! We thought the breakfast was excellent and I couldn’t get enough of the freshly squeezed kiwi juice and vitamin juice! Delicious! I particularly liked the Oriental restaurant so ate there mostly if we were not down at the seafront! There is a very useful regular shuttle bus up and down to the seafront which is always punctual! I walked in the very large gardens every day as I loved watching the swans and the huge amount of large Koi plus families of terrapins ! Relaxing and therapeutic! The spa is also wonderful with a choice of pools and jacuzzi’s! Another great thing is the evening entertainment as there is a variety of music so something different each night of the week! I could go on and on but I would say just go and book it you won’t be disappointed!

We stayed at Hotel Botanico & The Oriental Spa Garden in late April as a family of 8 (two couples and four children aged 5 to 12), and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the hotel impressed us with its immaculate cleanliness, tasteful decor, and tranquil, lush setting. Tucked away from the busy beachside tourist zones, its location may not be directly by the sea or major attractions—but that’s exactly what makes it feel like a hidden gem. It’s serene, secure, and beautifully maintained with free on-site parking and 24/7 security cameras, which made us feel totally at ease with the kids. The spa is a showstopper—arguably the best we’ve ever experienced. While it’s strictly adults-only (16+), it’s a true haven of calm and wellness. Treatments are reasonably priced for a 5-star property and genuinely world-class in both execution and atmosphere. The hotel offers five different restaurants, and we had the chance to try a few. The food and service were excellent, albeit on the pricier side. For balance, we’d recommend exploring nearby local restaurants as well—some fantastic options just a short walk away at a fraction of the price. The location also gives you easy access to Loro Parque and the Botanical Garden on foot, plus several small shops and supermarkets nearby. A couple of minor things to be aware of: although the hotel is family-friendly, the kids’ club doesn’t run year-round. We only discovered this after arrival, likely because Spanish holiday calendars don’t always align with other European school breaks. Also, if you’re planning visits to iconic Tenerife sites like Siam Park or Mount Teide, be ready for a drive—both are over an hour away, and many of the best beaches are at least 45-50 minutes out. Still, what the hotel may lack in beachside buzz, it more than makes up for in charm, comfort, and top-tier hospitality. Every member of the staff—from reception to restaurant to spa—was welcoming and professional. A special thank-you to Natalia from concierge, who kindly followed up with us after a minor accident to check on our well-being. That personal touch really stood out. All in all, Hotel Botanico is an absolute must for those seeking a high-end, relaxing Tenerife escape. We can’t wait to return.

Rib (second) fractured due to excessive force during massage at this hotel. I reported the injury to the spa manger that day and later sent the hotel manager a copy of an MRI scan report and orthopedic consultant’s letter stating that the injury was consistent with the excessive force during the massage. I suffered extreme pain for several weeks, it hurt when I breathed and severely limited what I could do, ruining the rest of my 3 week holiday in Tenerife. Prior to the injury I had enjoyed swimming, yoga and gym each day and lots of walking. I have received no offer of compensation for the injury which was a clear act of negligence and breach of the hotel’s duty of care and it seems clear that I won’t unless I incur the cost of issuing legal proceedings. An extremely poor way to treat a hotel guest.
