The Leela Kovalam, A Raviz Hotel

Leela Raviz at Kovalam is an experience one should take if possible. The courteousness of the staff, the food, the view is exceptional! Would like to mention the kindness of Chef Somnath, Assistant restaurant manager and of course my butler Poulomi.Thank you!!

We chose to stay here at the end of our 3 week tour of Kerala. We opted for a club room and for us, this was well worth the extra cost. Club area is in a separate part of the hotel, with its own check in desk. They have their own pool, gym and cafe restaurant, none of which get crowded due to the more premium nature of this part of the hotel. There is slightly less choice of food in the club area cafe, but again, lack of crowds made this ideal for us and there was no problem making dinner bookings. For dinner we sat outside on the beautiful terrace, with the pool behind us and the sound of the sea crashing against the rocks below. For us this was perfect, but if you want to be on the beach every day, a little more walking will be required, because the beach is on the opposite side of the hotel. The staff were excellent in the club area, with special mention due for Abishek, Santana, Romen and Mecha. But in reality all the team were good. As one of the senior managers Reshma must also be given a special mention for her leadership and customer service skills. We found the food excellent and every effort was made to cater for guests different attitudes towards level of spice in the food. An excellent hotel and one to which we will return on our next visit.

This is the best hotel in Kerala .Everything is good .The best part of hotel is also the stuff especially Krishnadas from reception. The hotel must be proud with him .He helped me for everything and always was eager to help me .Thank you to him and Leela Kovalam .See you again

I stayed for 2 nights at the Royal Club Room, which was directly above the sea cliff. The sound of the waves made my stay very surreal. Room services were very prompt. The manager Mr Aji, was very attentive. The property is very huge, beautiful and well maintained. Food taste and spread were good at the buffet restaurant. It does get crowded during the opening hours. Hence, I would recommend going for food there, during the last hour before lunch and dinner closure. My 5 year old loved the Kids Club, which had colouring books and many toys to keep her occupied. I also got a chance to play a round of carrom after a long time, which felt very good. They have a library and separate pool for Club residents. Few improvement points - A bigger room would have been good value for the price. There was some confusion about the lunch buffet inclusion in my package during check in. During checkout also, there was confusion regarding the balance payment, as mine was fully prepaid. I hope the staff takes care of these things, so that the guest experience is more smoother. Overall, this would definitely be my top choice for stay at Kovalam in future.
