The Lodge at Tiburon

Disgusting! Our room smelled like an old age home and no amount of perfume helped...the shades were torn, the bed sheets were torn. As some point, this hotel was nice but it has not had any regular maintenance and has fallen into deep neglect and disrepair. The staff was not friendly or approachable so we didn't even attempt to change rooms (they clearly don't care either!) The stay was a gift from a family member so of course we had no choice... it was truly horrible. Do not stay here!

Kicking myself for not reading the reviews more carefully before booking this hotel, which should really be labeled a MOTEL. I've stayed at Motel 6s that are cleaner. This place clearly put all of their money into an exterior remodel and none of it towards the actual rooms. Don't be fooled by the photography on the website. When we arrived, we were checked into a different room (ADA king patio) than the one I booked (Deluxe King balcony). The front desk lady did what she could by discounting the room and gave us a bottle of wine when I told her it was our 15th wedding anniversary. The room was not clean -- there was a hair in the shower before anyone showered. I also found a hair on the bed before anyone slept on the bed. Were the sheets even changed between guests?! I was seriously this close to just driving back to our own house, but we had dinner plans and hiking plans the next morning, so we made the best of it. The pool was small and disappointing. Even though it is listed as heated, the water was frigid. Most of the furniture surrounding the pool looked grimy and had definitely seen better days. Upon check out, the staff member with the beanie removed an additional resort fee, so I will say that our interactions with the front desk staff were all positive. They're probably used to the look of disappointment on the faces of their clientele. Don't make the same mistake I did!! Stay somewhere else.

I wrote a review directly to hotel and they never responded - which is not surprising because I don't think they know what customer service should be, especially considering the price point they are commanding. Check in/check out what really bad - you have to ring a bell and the guy comes out casually dressed, stocking hat on and barks "Name?" Check out was worse - same guy, absolutely no communication whatsoever. No one wears a uniform or name tag identifying they are part of the hotel team. The adjoining restaurant which appears to be part of hotel is a separate entity - you can't charge restaurant charges to room and hotel does not include breakfast in rate. It is a great location and I met some locals who were surprised to hear about the lack of service and poor condition of rooms - which is very dated. They need some professional assistance from hoteliers that care about the guest experience.

This is my second time in a row where I’ve come to this hotel and had to move rooms 2 to 3 times because they were dirty Just arrived tonight to find dirty sheets once again disgusted

Good: The location is good. Bad: For the price, I’ve stayed in nicer motels. Every time I stay here the rooms are in need of repair AND THE BATHROOM EXHAUST FANS ARE REALLY LOUD. LIKE 65 DB. Room service is every other day. Saves them money.
