It's so challenging to decide where to start to describe our amazing experience at Le Tikehau. For us, although the resort was gorgeous, the thing about staying here that stood out most for us was the amazing staff. We have the pleasure of booking our stay at Le Tikehau for 11 nights for our honeymoon. From the moment that we stepped off our flight, we felt that the staff were trying to get to know us and our preferences right away. The staff were so detailed from greeting us with a cool towel and delicious beverage after our travel to remembering that we like to have the menus back after we finish our main course to decide on dessert. We couldn't have asked for better staff. It constantly felt as if the staff was willing to go above and beyond for us -- there was no request that was too large or impossible. When my husband fell ill, all the staff were constantly checking in on us. Raipuni offered us aloe from his garden and constantly brought it to us to try to help with his ailment. The concierge even called our room as she wanted to see us to make sure that he was doing okay. 11 hours away from home and it felt like we had family constantly checking in on us. We felt so loved and cared for. Unfortunately, because we had to go to another island for his treatment, we had to stay a night away from the resort and we really missed the amazing service we received from the staff and gorgeous resort amenities. When we returned from Tahiti, we were once again greeted with the cool towel and delicious beverage. On our last day they even made lunch for our journey home filled with traditional Tahitian food. We thought that they really went above and beyond for doing that. Another example of the staff going above and beyond for us was that Emy made a list of recommended restaurants and places to go and Paris after I mentioned that I have future coming up in the following months with my best friend and our mothers. This amazing staff member did this in her free time! So incredibly thoughtful! We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities the resort had to offer and the gorgeous, spacious rooms. We have traveled all around the world but never have we experienced staff that would clean our rooms twice a day. Something that we noticed that we really valued was that the staff would leave their slippers out the door and clean our rooms with their shoes off, which we really appreciated. The housekeeping staff would even go above and beyond and fold our laundry for us if we left it on the bed. We really wanted to take them home with us! Something that really stood out to us about the cleanliness of the resort was that nothing smelled damp. Considering how humid French Polynesia is and how every resort that we stayed at on other islands had some amount of dampness in the room (even in the presidential suite at the Hilton on Tahiti and our room at the Intercontinental on Tahiti), we joked that we were breathing in premium air when staying at this resort. We stayed in the premium overwater bungalows and some of our best memories were watching the sunset every night and playing French Polynesian Monopoly on our pullout couch. We also enjoyed being able to snorkel from our bungalow and appreciate the crystal-clear waters that French Polynesia had to offer us. The resort was quiet and intimate, so we were unable to hear our neighbors and got so much sleep while we were there. The snack fridge and Nespresso with the drinks were a super nice touch as well. We thoroughly enjoyed the food offerings and never got tired of the menu – which is no small feat considering how many days we were there. When considering our travel to French Polynesia, we were told to be weary of overpriced and mediocre resort food. Given the high ratings of Le Tikehau and being from the Pacific Northwest where fresh fish is constantly made available, we came in with high standards. Being on a remote island with only two restaurant options, we expected to eventually get tired of the options but amazingly, that did not happen. In retrospect, we don’t believe we were able to try everything on the menu because we had the option of the daily chef’s special. We came back probably 10 pounds heavier each because of all the amazing food and desserts we ate. We also had the privilege of the Royal Pape Miti experience where we had access to a private island, lunch feast, and couples massage for the day. For everything that was included, it was worth the price threefold, and we would absolutely do this experience again. We both enjoyed our couple’s massage and are grateful to the wonderful spa staff and cooks for the day. Overall, we will absolutely return to Le Tikehau. They set an unbeatable standard for customer service and have a gorgeous resort. We have nothing but positive things to say about our stay here and we are so grateful to choose to honeymoon here. We look forward to visiting again soon! We are so grateful for our staff and would like to extend a special thank you to Raipuni, Emy, Justine, Melanie, Vini, Vaiarii, Marie-Ange, Nahei, Bea, and Tetua.

This hotel is specatular in every way- the value, the view, the rooms, everything. The management is wonderful, especially general manager Stefan, Maituni - in charge of guest services, and the front desk management. I have been all over the world, and would truly recommend this place as a paradise destination.

This was truly one of the most extraordinary and meaningful experiences of our lives. The resort was far more special, beautiful, and magical than we ever could have imagined. The photos and website simply do not do it justice. No image could fully capture the feeling of being there, surrounded by so much beauty, peace, and wonder. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely cared for. Every person we encountered was warm, gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. They anticipated our needs, handled every detail with such ease, and gave us the rare gift of being able to fully relax and simply enjoy paradise. We felt welcomed, spoiled, and deeply cared for throughout our entire stay. Every part of the experience was exceptional. The romantic dinners were unforgettable, the excursions were beautifully done, and every detail of our stay felt thoughtful and elevated. It was beyond anything we had hoped for. Truly 20/10 in every way. Tikehau feels like the edge of the world in the most breathtaking and sacred sense. It is not just a destination, it is a feeling, a memory, and a privilege to experience. As we left, I shed tears of joy out of gratitude for having had the honor of being there. That is how special this place is. This was more than a vacation. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we will carry with us forever.

Our stay at Le Tikeau Resort was nothing short of extraordinary. It’s one of those rare places that feels almost unreal in its beauty—the kind you usually only see in postcards or travel magazines. We stayed in an overwater bungalow with our family, and it was an unforgettable experience. Waking up to crystal-clear water right beneath you and stepping out onto the deck felt like a dream every single day. The island itself is simply breathtaking—easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. The resort strikes a perfect balance between luxury and comfort. Everything is thoughtfully designed, from the villas to the common areas, creating a relaxed yet upscale atmosphere. The food was also excellent, with a great variety and consistently high quality throughout our stay. Overall, Le Tikeau Resort is an incredible destination—perfect for families as well as couples looking for a unique and unforgettable getaway. I would go back without hesitation.

Le Tikehau is a very lovely place located in a most scenic location. It unlike the better known high islands of Polynesia. The lagoon is God's own aquarium. It is possible to observe 35 varieties of reef fish from the walkways w/in the overwater bungalow sites. on windy days, the current is quite strong. Smaller, harmless, black tipped sharks are common here. Services @ the resort provided by staff and management are a 10/10. Our bungalow was cleaned twice a day. The French-Polynesian restaurant is quite good and is changed by 40% every 3 days. Of course, there is a lot of ocean and reef fish on the menu. All of our meals were good! It is possible to walk to other small islands from the resort using the exposed sand bars and wading in shallow water. My wife and I did this. We found a number of shells, but found they were the home of hermit crabs. They stayed in place. The sun is very hot here, bring spf 50 and reef shoes to protect your feet from the coral. The pink sand is memory making. They have a very clean swimming pool, w/ wonderful views of the lagoon where you will see 6-8 shades of blue on any given day. Tikehau means peace, you will find it here.
