I booked Bellustar Tokyo somewhat casually. I needed a place for one night in Tokyo after my solo trip in China, the hotel looked beautiful, and I figured it would do the trick. I had no idea I was about to have one of the most genuinely impressive hotel stays of my recent travels. From the moment I arrived, the difference in caliber between this hotel and others was clear. The instant I stepped out of my taxi, the staff in front had greeted me, taken my belongings, and started a warm conversation, offering tips about the area. That energy carried straight into the lobby, which made me stop and actually pause to take it in. Beautiful in a way that felt considered rather than performative. Genuine kudos to whoever designed this hotel; I could honestly picture myself living in it. Check-in was just as warm. I was welcomed like an esteemed guest, not just another booking, and walked through my benefits clearly and graciously. While we talked, other staff quietly took my luggage to the room. These are just some of the details of this stay that separate a good hotel from a great one— which this one certainly is! A quick note for fellow Amex Platinum / Fine Hotels & Resorts users: the “no upgrade available” line has become a frustrating recurring theme across all my recent FHR stays. Bellustar at least delivered it with genuine grace, and the rest of the experience more than made up for it. Worth keeping in mind if you’re booking purely on the strength of those benefits! The room itself was impeccably clean, organized, and beautifully designed. Every element felt intentional. In-room Japanese breakfast was a highlight, delivered and set up with meticulous care to make sure every piece was placed correctly. That level of attention to detail isn’t something you can train into someone. Checkout and departure matched the arrival. The entire main-floor team coordinated to make sure my taxi to the airport was on time, going to the correct location, and that my luggage was handled properly. Full circle, in the best possible way. Bottom line: I came in with no expectations and left planning my return. Bellustar Tokyo delivers on every level: design, service, attention to detail, genuine hospitality (including housekeeping!!). This is what luxury hospitality is supposed to feel like. I cannot wait to be back!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this high-class hotel in Tokyo. The views were truly spectacular-especially at sunset, nighttime, and sunrise. Being able to see Tokyo Skytree and the city skyline from our room was unforgettable. Even spotting the Godzilla statue below added a fun touch for fans. One of the highlights was the hotel's excellent service. The staff spoke English very well and were extremely helpful, guiding us to our room and explaining the in-room technology when needed. Our suite was huge, luxurious, and beautifully designed, featuring a spacious living room, private hallway, large closet, and an incredible bathroom with both a deep soaking tub and separate shower. Everything felt elegant and comfortable. We also really enjoyed the hotel's private evening happy hour, along with several on-site dining options. The Michelin-starred restaurant experience was exceptional, offering outstanding meals with a refined atmosphere and beautiful views. Breakfast was a truly unforgettable moment. We were lucky enough to enjoy a perfectly clear view of Mt. Fuji from our table. It was breathtaking—we were completely speechless and just stared at the view while enjoying a delicious meal. It was a priceless experience before heading home. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The atmosphere, service, and views created an unforgettable stay filled with positive energy. We truly appreciate the experience and highly recommend it.
