Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi

Highly recommend Four Seasons, Tokyo

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed March 6, 2017

We traveled to Tokyo with a group of friends to celebrate a milestone birthday and stayed at the Four Seasons in Tokyo. From the first point we contacted the hotel about coming with a group they were terrific. Always professional, responsive and very helpful. We can highly recommend the hotel to anyone going to Tokyo. The rooms are lovely, the staff is exceptional, restaurants were excellent and the location of the hotel next to the train stations was ideal.

The Four Seasons has the location, service, amenities and the insight to keep all your travel plans stress free! My overall experience was exceptional! The service goes to another level that I personally did not expect! The train station next to the hotel is very confusing to say the least, and hard to understand to the layman traveler. The employees at the front desk took me over to the station, help me buy my tickets, then directed me downstairs to the proper platform and then waited for me to load! Awesome is all I can say to these great employees!

One can only imagine what a perfect hotel experience looks like when you are bringing 27 of your closest friends across the world. Staff, hotel, service, food, drink...all amazing. Pre-planning trip for 6 plus months with your help was flawless. They made our planning easy, painless and in the end spectacular.

Wonderful return family visit

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed February 21, 2017

We returned to the Four Seasons Tokyo for our second trip to Japan. I far to often find that a repeat visit to a hotel or place of which I have very pleasant memories ends in disappointment. Not so with our second trip to the Four Seasons. Several familiar faces (some with promotions - congratulations Yumi!) greeted us with as much attention and care as the previous year. Nothing was too much trouble for the concierge staff (as previously) and the hotel breakfasts are still some of the best I have ever experienced. The care that was put into making our children feel welcome was, once again, fully on display, with appropriate sized bathrobes and slippers, little treats to eat, as well as a message from the manager addressed to them (they were too nervous to write back to him, I'm afraid!) resulted in the Four Seasons being cemented in the minds of our children as our "Tokyo Home". Our room was delightful - a suite with views of Tokyo Station. The main bed was comfortable and the bathroom was well stocked with toiletries - once again with bath toys and novelty sponges for our little ones. The location of this hotel is fantastic, almost on top of Tokyo station, making access to Tokyo's marvellous underground railway for local trips as well as the Shinkansen for day trips or departure a matter of minutes. Once again, we were overcome by the level of service we received on departure, with a member of the concierge staff assisting us to our train and ensuring we were comfortable, even ensuring we could swivel a pair of seats so that we could sit together as a family of four. My wife enjoyed a trip to the spa, but unfortunately experienced a skin reaction to one of the ingredients in the facial treatment. The staff were extremely apologetic. The treatment was immediately refunded and rapid assistance in obtaining appropriate medication was provided. I went to the pharmacy to obtain the medication in question with one of the staff, who insisted that the hotel cover all costs, despite my offers. While unfortunate, this situation was managed in the best manner possible by the hotel staff. My only criticism was that the sofa bed in our suite was not well suited to two children due to its tendency to sag in the middle, causing late night cries of outrage about who was invading whose "side". In retrospect, our more humble room with two queen beds the previous year would probably be a more comfortable option with two children, notwithstanding the need for whispered conversations after lights out!. Overall, a wonderful experience again. Thoroughly recommended!
