Reviews for Palace Hotel Tokyo

Pretty Much Perfect

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

4 nights here at the start of our Japan holiday and it was a perfect introduction to Tokyo. Location is great - quiet but opposite Imperial Palace Gardens and walkable to Ginza, metro stop part of the building for everywhere else. Spacious, comfortable room. Charming staff. Beautiful lobby. Excellent pool and gym. We had a delicious meal at Wadakura (in-house Japanese restaurant) and price was reasonable. Breakfast was OK and an evening Japanese whisky was expensive but with live jazz. We had a cocktail in the Imperial Hotel Old Bar (recommended) but, overall, it showed how much better our choice of the Palace was for a stay.

Excellent stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed here two weeks. Hotel overlooks the Imperial Gardens and has great views. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. We were a walk away from the main station and close to the Ginza shopping district. There was so much to see in Tokyo and the reception, concierge and all staff were highly professional and helpful at all times. There was a nice atmosphere in the hotel and the food was truly excellent. Highly recommend.

Such a wonderful hotel -- heading back this week!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

There is really nothing negative to say about this wonderful hotel on any level. I am headed back this weekend after several stays. The room is absolutely divine and the bathroom is awesome not to mention the daily amenities. We have enjoyed the restaurants and bars that have exceptional service. Breakfast is delightful and the view across the moat to The Imperial Palace is stunning. I cannot wait to enjoy it again. Every moment from check in to check out is 5 star and the location is hard to beat. My expectations at this hotel are always very high and they never miss knocking it up a gear.

Rightly so a Leading Hotels of the World!

Excellent hotel, very rightly selected as a member of the Leading Hotels of the World! Super well located next to Tokyo station (allowing for easy access to most of Tokyo) and in front of the Imperial Palace, gardens and museum (the latter two absolutely worth a visit). We’ve much appreciated the service (a great mix of Japanese style with international hospitality), the design of the hotel, the quality of the room and its features, the great breakfast buffet, the gym, the art displayed on the premises of the hotel, … I can highly recommend this place and we’d go back without any doubt on our next Tokyo visit.

Simply perfect. One of the very best hotels in the world.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 months ago

I visit Tokyo once a quarter for work, and since I tried it for the first time a couple of years ago Palace Hotel has now become my favourite hotel to stay at. In my view, it’s one of the very best - definitely top 3 (if not the best) - city/metropolitan hotels in the world. Everything is just consistently and seamlessly perfect. The location is unbeatable, with airy and unobstructed views of the Imperial Gardens as well as of the Tokyo skyline. Rooms are perfect. I would strongly recommend the balcony rooms; I love sitting on the balcony (weather permitting) and enjoying the views. Everything is in perfect working conditions. Beds comfortable. Water pressure very strong. Private bar with some great quality glasses (yes, these details matter). A particular praise for housekeeping, who do an marvellous job. Laundry and dry cleaning services are also excellent (to the point that I sometimes get my most delicate garments cleaned at Palace Hotel instead of back home in London). Service in general is outstanding. Ring the operator for anything, and it shows up to the room in something like 3 minutes. Plenty of staff around in the communal areas to help with anything one may need. Push the housekeeping button when leaving the room, and it gets cleaned within 30 minutes. Pre arrival assistance and checkin are always impeccable. Even if I tried really hard, I could not find a fault. F&B offerings are excellent and very diverse. I have a sweet spot for the Royal Bar; perfect execution, definitely one of the best bars in Tokyo. Restaurants are excellent (Sushi Kanesaka is in my view better than many of the 3 Michelin-starred venues in Tokyo). What’s not to like about this amazing place?
