The Prince Park Tower Tokyo

I recently stayed in a 2 Queen bed Prince Suite on the 19th floor for 8 days. I had a great stay but hear are my general thoughts. Pros: -Spacious suite - The suite was just over 1,200 square feet, had a dining room area, a living room, full bath with step in shower, a half bath, two closets, and a step out to go outside in the living room and in the dining room area. -The views-I wasn’t on the Tokyo Tower side, but my skyline view was still amazing and absolutely gorgeous at night through panoramic windows. -The staff - Overall, I found the staff to be incredibly helpful. The ladies at the bell desk made me feel especially welcome when I hailed a cab, or I returned back. One remembered my trips and would ask how I enjoyed each outing. It was a nice personal touch. The cleaning staff and in room dining staff were also especially friendly. -The restaurants - I ate at three different restaurants. The Chinese restaurant was probably my favorite in terms of food. The Sky Bar was my favorite view. But every meal that I had was tasty and the staff at the restaurants in the basement really went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. -Swift elevators and lovely interior design- The outside of the hotel isn’t particularly remarkable but inside the facilities are very nice. The lobby design, artwork, the atrium-even the doors are aesthetically pleasing. I never had to wait more than a few seconds for an elevator. -Location - I actually preferred the location but it depends on what you’re looking for. The hotel is back off of a main street with a long driveway and it sits away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Tokyo. For me, I preferred the serenity at the Prince Park because it was respite from the busy Tokyo streets. -The Tokyo Tower view -Absolutely sensational. The Tower can be seen from rooms, from the club lounge, from the rooftop bar-it is phenomenal and a great view at any angle. Cons: -The beds were a little too firm for my tastes. At times, they bordered on being uncomfortable but that may be beds in Japan generally. I don’t know. The front desk-on multiple days, I saw some pretty long lines. This could be conference related but long lines after air travel definitely impact experience. I also think the front desk staff was a little colder than the other staff. Not unpleasant, just not as friendly as other team members. The Sky Bar staff was not very attentive and bordered on unfriendly. It was a shame because the bar is absolutely stunning. I enjoyed myself in spite of the service.

I've been staying at this hotel for over 20 years and it's one of my go to hotels when I'm going overseas from Tokyo. It's a 10 to 15 minute walk from Hamamatsucho station, which can be good or bad. Good because it's far enough to be somewhat quieter and secluded for Tokyo and bad because the walk from the station can be trying if you have luggage due to the crowds lining the sidewalks between the station and the hotel. The rooms are spacious and clean and service is top notch. The best rooms are the ones with a balcony and a view of Tokyo tower. Those rooms don't disappoint. The restaurants on the basement are some if the finest in Japan, especially the yakitori and teppanyaki restaurants. The only drawback is there is no scenic view when dining. The top floor does have a restaurant but I don't think it's particularly exceptional, though it is above average. My issue with the top floor restaurant is they keep changing the concept so the dining experience isn't consistent. That's not a problem if you've never been there or it your first visit though. They have a buffet for breakfast and if you enjoy buffets it's fine, but personally I avoid buffets because the food is usually too generic. The property has an onsen and a bowling alley. There's also a legit relaxation massage/shiatsu shop which I always made a point of visiting, but the past few years it's open irregularly or completely booked. Overall, it's a good experience staying here. Quite often the Prince Hotel website actually has the best prices, especially if you book a couple of months in advance, avoid Fridays and Saturdays, and sign up for membership, which is free and comes with small perks like bottled water and later checkout if they're not too busy.

A very nice stay in the quieter section of Tokyo. Beautiful views of the city and tower, great breakfast buffet, and sizable rooms which are very comfortable.

This was our second visit to Tokyo in just two years, and when I asked my family (hubby, son and daughter 21+) for their hotel preferences for the first leg of our trip, they unanimously chose the Prince Park Tower. This hotel truly stands out with its exceptional service, breathtaking view of the Tokyo Tower, and prime location. We were pleasantly surprised to discover the size of the Family suite, which came with a fully equipped kitchen, two mini refrigerators, and a freezer. To add to our convenience, we had access to Executive lounge floor with a car once a day. This lounge was a fantastic spot for breakfast, offering a delightful selection of both Western and Japanese-style options. We also enjoyed afternoon snacks and dinner there. After walking over five miles a day, the evening cocktail hour with desserts was a much-needed treat. To enhance our convenience, we had the option to book a car once a day to take us to Ginza for shopping or even to the train station for our excursions outside of Tokyo. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom amenities were fantastic. We had everything we needed, including loofahs, body soaps, toothbrushes, and toothpaste, all from L’Occitane. Highly recommend this hotel and will continue to go back.

We stayed one night at The Prince Park Tower Tokyo with my wife in an Executive Room and were extremely disappointed. The main reason we booked this category was because it was supposed to include complimentary access to the Spa & Fitness facilities, which otherwise are fully paid even in this so-called 5-star hotel. At check-in, we were even given a written notice clearly stating that Spa & Fitness access was included. However, the next morning, the staff refused us entry. When we went back to reception, they admitted it was a “mistake” and even tried to take back the paper mentioning the free access. Beyond this issue, the overall experience was terrible: very cold and unfriendly staff, an outdated hotel, dirty toilets on the B2 floor, and absolutely nowhere near 5-star standards. The breakfast was honestly the worst we have ever had: dry, tasteless, and barely edible. This was the worst experience of our entire trip to Japan, and honestly one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had anywhere in the world. We would strongly discourage anyone from staying here for tourism. At best, it may be acceptable for a short business trip, but certainly not for a pleasant stay in Tokyo.
