We stayed at the Shangri-La for three nights prior to a cruise. We enjoyed our stay so much that we added a night after our cruise. We utilized the Horizon Club every day for breakfast and went back in the afternoon or evenings for a quick break before going back out to explore. We stayed in a Horizon Club Deluxe room for the first three nights. We opted for a Imperial Garden suite upon our return. We requested the Shangri-La car service from Narita when we arrived. We had many bags for our cruise and we needed a big vehicle. The Shangri-La staff met us after immigration and whisked us to downtown Tokyo. Worry free transportation service after a long flight was an incredible way to start our epic journey. Matthias and his staff did an excellent job. Matthias made sure we were having a great time and answered any questions we had. He was especially attentive to our 14 year old son. He provided insight on all things golf related and even gave a recommendation for a local golf driving range. His staff made sure all our transportation needs were met. I cannot say enough about the service provided by the top notch staff. The location is incredible. Literally seconds from Tokyo Station. We walked to the Imperial Gardens. We had a great walk to shop in Ginza. 15 minute cab ride to the Tokyo Dome to watch the Giants. A very short train/metro ride to Shibuya and Shinjuku. There is also a large mall right next to the hotel. Perfect for when you need that extra suitcase. 5 minute walk to Family Mart for a 14 year old Famichiki run. You can pick up your glasses at JINS with a 5 minute walk. A ten minute walk for your Nippn Made Onitsuka Tigers without any waiting...if they have your size. This isn't a typical "tourist" area but it is a fantastic location with easy access to anywhere. Tokyo station is basically attached to the hotel. Highly recommend.

Our stay at the Shangri-La Tokyo was nothing short of exceptional. This was our third stay at this incredible hotel, and somehow it keeps getting better and better. Returning each time feels less like checking into a hotel and more like coming home. Traveling with four children under the age of six can be challenging, but from the moment we arrived, the entire staff made our family of six feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. They didn't just provide great service—they made us feel like part of the Shangri-La family. The housekeeping team was absolutely incredible. Every day they meticulously cleaned our room, thoughtfully washed and sanitized our baby bottles, and surprised our children with sweet little gifts that made each day feel special. It was clear that every detail was handled with genuine care and pride. Breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The selection was outstanding, with exceptionally fresh fruit, delicious pastries, and high-quality dishes that catered to both adults and young children. It quickly became one of our favorite parts of each morning. The location is also absolutely perfect. Being directly next to Tokyo Station made getting around the city incredibly convenient, whether we were exploring different neighborhoods or taking day trips. Despite being in the heart of Tokyo and so well connected to every form of transportation, the hotel feels like a peaceful sanctuary. After a busy day in the city, returning to the calm, quiet atmosphere of the Shangri-La was something we looked forward to every evening. It truly offers the best of both worlds—unmatched convenience and a sense of tranquility that's hard to find in such a vibrant city. What truly sets Shangri-La Tokyo apart is its people. Every interaction—from the front desk and concierge to the restaurant staff and housekeeping—was warm, attentive, and sincere. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, making what could have been a hectic trip with young children feel relaxing and effortless. Their kindness is genuine, and it's the reason we continue to come back year after year. Luxury hotels can offer beautiful rooms and stunning views, but it's rare to find one that combines world-class accommodations with such heartfelt hospitality. Shangri-La Tokyo exceeded every expectation, and without question, it has become one of the finest hotels we've ever experienced. After three wonderful stays, it truly feels like a home away from home. We are already looking forward to our next visit and can't wait to return. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone—especially families traveling with young children. This is hospitality at its absolute best.

The location of this hotel is absolutely superb, literally a couple of minutes walk from Tokyo station, rooms are really large, enormous for Tokyo standards, staff are all friendly and polite. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is because the TV channels are abysmal for English speakers and the breakfast was disappointing. After staying at The Shard, London several times I was surprised at how small the breakfast buffet was, there was really not much choice, the coffee to was mediocre also. Other than that everything was great but with Tokyo being a walking city a nice breakfast is something that one really looks forward to.

One of our best stays ever. The staff are really attentive and nice, ever so helpful to our queries, and the room is just immaculate. Spacious, gorgeous views, and an unbeatable location walking distance to several subway lines and next to the main Tokyo station where we can get our souvenirs.

The Shanghai-la Tokyo Hotel has the best customer service without a doubt. I am a sixteen year old boy, traveling here as a tourist and mistakenly left my phone in an uber. Two amazing workers went out of their way to work their absolute hardest as well as stay by my side to help me retrieve my phone - and in the end WE DID! Thank you so much to the two ladies who helped me tremendously and thank you Shangri-la Hotel Tokyo. 5/5 stars!
