About the Hotel
Rancho Santana is situated between the Pacific Ocean and Lake Nicaragua on one of the Pacific only isthmuses. Bordered on both sides by water, Rancho Santana enjoys the distinction of nearly constant off shore breezes, 30 days or more each year. This off-shore wind combined with a perfectly angled coastline creates world-class surf conditions and affords guests three surf breaks on site and a dozen breaks in the area.
Rancho Santana’s terrain is as diverse as the guests who come to hike our many trails. Traverse jungle and tropical dry forest on the Los Perros loops; top off a walk to Playa Escondida with a visit to the turtle sanctuary and a splash in the tide pools; and summit a sand dune at Playa Duna.
Rancho Santana has three swimming pools and three clubhouses located throughout the property. There are four dining venues: La Finca and El Mar, La Boquita, El Cafe and La Taqueria.

Loved it!
Fantastic spring break destination for our family, including 12 and 15 yr olds. We loved the activities- horseback riding, surfing lessons, boogie boarding, night hike, e-biking, and tennis and pickleball, among others. We rented Casa Pomerelle and loved it!!! It was a perfect size and location for us, and loved having the pool and an included SUV. Food was excellent, getting groceries was easy, everyone was incredibly helpful. We loved the taco restaurant and surfing beach. We stayed on property the entire time. We felt very safe - actually safer than many other Latin American and European countries we’ve been to! Flying in and out of Managua was smooth as well as the resort transport. Highly recommend Rancho Santana!

I had an amazing dinner at La boquita. The food was amazing but our server was next level. Arturo was great and attentive the entire time.

Luxury with an Authentic Nicaraguan Feel
Rancho Santana is absolutely stunning. The location and views are incredible, but what really stood out was the impeccable service. The staff consistently went above and beyond. Our room was incredibly comfortable, and the AC was definitely appreciated! The food was delicious—we ate at two of the restaurants and loved both. They also made it so easy to organize activities. One of my favorite experiences was doing yoga with the ocean breeze and those gorgeous views. I especially loved that despite the luxury, Rancho Santana hasn’t lost its Nicaraguan roots. Local artisan handicrafts throughout the property give it an authentic sense of place. Beautiful, comfortable, and exceptional service—I’d highly recommend it.

Epic 4 day wedding celebration weekend and phenomenal stay. Beautiful, friendly, welcoming, safe and relaxing where all our needs were met with ease, smiles and top notch service. The Rooms, the quiet, the well manicured grounds the exceptional service by the staff from getting drinks to anything was 100% excellence! The design, and details made it so enjoyable and relaxing. Calming and beautiful.
