About the Hotel
Rancho Santana is situated between the Pacific Ocean and Lake Nicaragua on one of the Pacific only isthmuses. Bordered on both sides by water, Rancho Santana enjoys the distinction of nearly constant off shore breezes, 30 days or more each year. This off-shore wind combined with a perfectly angled coastline creates world-class surf conditions and affords guests three surf breaks on site and a dozen breaks in the area.
Rancho Santana’s terrain is as diverse as the guests who come to hike our many trails. Traverse jungle and tropical dry forest on the Los Perros loops; top off a walk to Playa Escondida with a visit to the turtle sanctuary and a splash in the tide pools; and summit a sand dune at Playa Duna.
Rancho Santana has three swimming pools and three clubhouses located throughout the property. There are four dining venues: La Finca and El Mar, La Boquita, El Cafe and La Taqueria.

Top Notch by the ocean Retreat ~ Unforgertable Resort
Epic 4 day wedding celebration weekend and phenomenal stay. Beautiful, friendly, welcoming, safe and relaxing where all our needs were met with ease, smiles and top notch service. The Rooms, the quiet, the well manicured grounds the exceptional service by the staff from getting drinks to anything was 100% excellence! The design, and details made it so enjoyable and relaxing. Calming and beautiful.

Amazing Stay
I had such a wonderful experience here. The yoga classes and teachers were amazing, and all of the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Celeste and Martha in the spa were especially helpful, kind and attentive, and really made my experience special. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a relaxing and restorative experience. I’d love to come back!

With a party of about 20 people staying in one villa during a wedding week you can imagine things can get pretty hectic. Many different ride requests, food and beverage requests, and literally anything in between. Johnny Terry fulfilled every single request wayyyyy faster than I thought was possible. He made our stay amazingly comfortable and stayed calm through it all. Thanks Johnny. You’re the best!!!

Absolutely Beautiful Stay at Rancho Santana!
Rancho Santana was absolutely beautiful, clean, and so easy to get around. There was always something fun to do, with plenty of activities and experiences to enjoy throughout our stay. The property itself was stunning, and everything was so well maintained. A very special shout-out to Johnny in Concierge, who truly went above and beyond for us. He helped with every single request we had, no matter what time of day, and always made sure everything was taken care of. His attentiveness, kindness, and willingness to help made our stay even more special. We had an amazing experience at Rancho Santana and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and fun getaway!
