Fairmont Royal York

Terrible customer service, FD rude upon check in and check out, were taking long to check out and told me I didn’t wake up early enough - honestly no one ever spoke to me that way in any hotel ever. I was told room is renovated and luxury nothing luxury or renovated about it everything is old and basic and super tiny. Requested housekeeping during specific window no one came, but regularly spammed me with how is your stay text messages. Building is beautiful, but to experience it is enough to walk the lobby. Gym is nice.

Perfect location….everything was walkable. Went to a show at the Princess if Wales and it was a 10 minute walk. Would skip all restaurants. Unless you want to pay double for everything. Enjoy a drink to say you experienced it and then get Uber or just go outside. Cute rooms. Great service. But the staff at two of their restaurants were not the friendliest. Not worth the $$$ at all….skip it.

A truly beautiful hotel with a classic, elegant feel. We stayed here while celebrating my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary, and the experience could not have been more special. The Gold experience has been absolutely top notch—from the lounge to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. The staff went above and beyond to make my parents’ stay amazing—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to every detail. A flawless experience all around. 5 out of 5 stars.
