Fairmont Royal York is located in Old Toronto, Toronto, Canada. It is directly opposite Union Station, be sure to exit through Front Street. Its rooms are spacious and are a good value for money, cleanliness is superb and all the necessary amenities are present. I spent multiple nights there on my visit to Toronto. On my second visit, I received an upgrade due to a personal request and as a member of All Accor. The atmosphere is calm and serene, I had a good time checking in, walking through the lobby, dining in its restaurant, and relaxing in its communal spaces. I would overall recommend a stay here during a visit to Toronto.

I am still in this hotel about to check out. This morning, when my stepdaughter and I woke up, I heard "what the hell?!" There was a big brown stain on her bed, on the sheets, on the underside. It is not an old stain that had been washed. It is a different texture from the rest of the sheet. She has not eaten or drunk anything in her bed. It has obviously been there since before we arrived and these sheets have CLEARLY NOT BEEN WASHED. I complained to the front dest and was offered 20% off the price of the stay. I don't know how I feel about this but I don't think it's happy. DISGUSTING.

If you enjoy your hotel stay feeling like you’ve been dropped in the middle of Grand Central Station at rush hour, congratulations, you’ve found your oasis. For everyone else, this hotel is a time capsule from an era no one is nostalgic for. The place is VERY dated, think “what the future looked like in 1978” but without the charm. Customer service? Completely nonexistent and I’ve seen cleaner rooms in highway motels. The hotel is overbooked, understaffed, and somehow still surprised by both facts. The rooms look exactly like what you’d find if you opened a 1984 World Book Encyclopedia to the entry for “motel” and said, “Yes, let’s recreate that.” If you’re seeking chaos, grime, and the ambiance of a forgotten rest stop, this is your spot. Otherwise, keep walking…preferably briskly.

From the Concierge Matthew who contacted us after we made our reservations to the bellhop who carried my luggage down the stairs when I left, and everything in between, our stay was wonderful! We ate at Reign Restaurant for breakfast twice and the food was good. We went to a couple of the bars and ate sliders which were yummy. Housekeeping did a fabulous job. All in all, it was a most wonderful stay (June 28,29, July 1, 2026). We stayed there because we celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary.

Very impressive client experience from the checkin right until checkout. Amazing service. Delicious food and drink. Amazing pool/sauna/steam room facilities. Even the coffee in the room is premium. Will be back for sure!

We had a great time. The hotel has excellent staff and service. The food is outstanding and the cocktails are too. It’s is a perfect place to go for 2 nights. This package deal you offer is fantastic. I will do it again.
Thanks very much!
