Fairmont Royal York

Another wonderful Fairmont Gold stay. Thank you to the entire 18th floor team let by Alexis (shout out to Rose as well). Wonderful service from check in to checkout and spot on for breakfast each morning of our stay. My Latte is practically waiting for me when I come in! Nice to meet Frank at the bar at Reign, he provided us great food and service that we’ve come to expect and a special thanks to our Room Attendant Analiza who kept our room beautiful despite us working out of it! Thank you.

Amazing stay, beautiful and very polite staff. Services given as promised and advertised, surely I'm coming back soon with my family and will invite all my friends to go there. A big thank you to the Royal York team :) - Angela V.

The hotel lobby is beautiful and has a great location. The staff is very helpful,our room was very old, very worn out, not fitting the Royal York reputation, not fitting the nightly rate, very disappointed the pool was under scheduled yearly service and wasn't told before booking.

A good central based Hotel. It was Christmas and the Hotel was decorated very well. The Hotel was very big, our room was very clean and a typical size you would expect for a city hotel. I have stayed in previous Fairmont properties, and found this one to be good but slightly dated/worn in some parts of the building, an example being on the bedroom floors, carpet looked a bit worn and tired. I found the Hotel foyer overwhelming, lots of people came into see the Christmas decorations, so you had to walk through crowds to get to the lifts. Reception was very busy, so it took a long tine to checkin, even at the priority checkin. We also found it difficult on arrival, we had a lot of luggage and there was only 1 bell boy and stairs no lift, to carry heavy luggage up. The guy did apologise, I guess it was that time of year? I visit Toronto regularly, but will try alternative hotels in future as I feel there is good alternatives in the city.

NOT a 5-star hotel experience. This hotel is well-located, directly across from Union Station. My room, however, was dreary -- interior facing, dated decor, no updated shower or bath. When I asked to change rooms, the front desk was unhelpful, suggesting essentiall the same room (with two double beds) but an exterior facing window at a significant upsell. There was no attention to detail and customer service that one would expect of a hotel listed at this class. Disappointing.
