Today we met with chef Dennis as our daughter has coeliac disease. He was a fantastic listener. He described every ingredient that he was gonna use, and he even asked in what ways he could make it even better for her. We were blown away by his kindness and effort.

I wish you had given me an opportunity to share feedback with the hotel directly rather than pointing me here. I’ll start with a compliment then tell you the rest. Every staff member I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Kudos to hotel leadership on staff training. My room experience was the opposite. My first room (suite upgrade on the first room floor) smelled like smoke. I was moved to the 11th fl close to the elevator. I was woken up multiple times before I put pillows at the base to block out noise. On my 7th wake up I took the picture which is attached. There was no seal around the door and it didn’t even sit straight on the hinges. Shane on you Fairmont. This is not a 5 star experience

À hotel that is only a few steps shorts of being 5 stars really, we had a great stay. The host in charge of our room, Stella, was very friendly and professional, which truly elevated our experience. The main restaurant is also fantastic. Highly recommend! (Even if it’s pretty expensive)

We were in the city for the Rush concert and the Royal York is so well situated for events at ScotiaBank Arena or the Rogers Centre; both venues had events going and the hotel was busy. Every employee we interacted with was fantastic; they were friendly and helpful. While the main floor and lobby area was busy and noisy, the remainder of the hotel was peaceful and serene. Our room was well appointed, the bed was very comfortable and everything was spotless. Our room was very quiet with no outside noise being heard. The lobby bar was very busy, so we went to the Library Bar and it is a very nice spot for a quiet drink. We were in a Fairmont Gold room which included lounge access for the 18th floor, which was very quiet and offered a great breakfast selection. There were other evening offerings which we did not partake of. We had a very enjoyable stay, certainly a 5 star location with a plethora of amenities, which regrettably we could not take full advantage of.

We had a great time. The hotel has excellent staff and service. The food is outstanding and the cocktails are too. It’s is a perfect place to go for 2 nights. This package deal you offer is fantastic. I will do it again.
Thanks very much!
