Reviews for Four Seasons Hotel Toronto

One of the most beautiful city experiences

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Probably the Most Beautiful Four Seasons City Property We Have Visited Probably the most beautiful Four Seasons city property we have experienced. I understand this is one of the brand’s flagship hotels, and it certainly feels that way. The attention to detail and level of service are exceptional. As we were travelling with our children, we stayed in a suite, which was extremely comfortable and beautifully designed. The beds were excellent, the living room was spacious, and the kitchenette was very practical. The interiors are sophisticated yet sufficiently minimalist to feel comfortable, with beautiful chinoiserie silks on the walls adding character and elegance. The bathroom amenities were also of a very high standard. The concierge service deserves particular recognition. They arranged incredible private walking tours of the city with knowledgeable historians, as well as our Niagara Falls experience — truly breathtaking and something unique in the world. What impressed us most was the level of personalization. The hotel contacted us several times before our arrival, our preferences were remembered, and everything was prepared accordingly. Throughout our stay, the entire team consistently delivered the signature Four Seasons experience we have come to appreciate. Beautiful property, exceptional service, outstanding concierge and genuine attention to the guest experience. For us, this is Four Seasons hospitality at its best. Thank u , we will be returning.

Good FS location be mindful of where your room is though

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

Good FS hotel. Rooms and facilities were about standard. Service was great though from the doormen to the front desk. Gym and pool were good although the pool felt cold. We were given a street facing room and it was LOUD. Just be mindful of that if you end up in that room.

Can’t say enough good things

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I took my wife for our 20th anniversary and they were amazing. The concierge helped with making arrangements for me to give a surprise gift to my wife at dinner which turned out perfectly. The suite and the hotel as a whole was so perfectly done. I wouldn’t be able to find a flaw if I tried. Thank you to everyone!

Exceptional Four Seasons stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

A wonderful stay at Four Seasons Hotel Toronto. The hotel has an excellent location in Yorkville, a beautiful atmosphere, and genuinely friendly and professional service. The breakfast was outstanding, with great quality and attention to detail. I also enjoyed the spa, which was one of the highlights of my visit. The Yorkville Massage was an exceptional experience, deeply relaxing and exactly what I needed after exploring the city. A special thank you to Maryann at the bar, whose genuine smile, warmth, and attentive service made the experience even more memorable. It is these small personal touches that elevate a hotel from excellent to truly special. Four Seasons delivers the kind of calm, elegant hospitality where every detail feels thoughtfully considered. I would happily return.

Belligerent Gatekeeping at the Front House — Took My Business Elsewhere

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

I was actively trying to arrange a premium stay at this property, but the front house and receptionist culture completely killed any desire I had to spend my money here. The first impression was a textbook example of hostile, corporate gatekeeping. When I called to inquire about specific room details, the main receptionist subjected me to what felt like an aggressive security audit. Before they would even consider connecting me to the front desk, I was grilled with questions: "What is your name?" "Why are you calling?" "Why are you asking for this person?" "Who are you?" They did everything in their power to block me from speaking to the front house, repeatedly trying to dump me back into a generic reservations queue. It was insulting, borderline belligerent, and incredibly unwelcoming. When I finally did get through to management on subsequent calls, two separate managers were entirely unhelpful and hid behind the exact same rigid, defensive scripts. The contrast with other luxury properties is staggering. I had a fantastic first impression with the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, which actually understands high-end hospitality. Even compared to luxury properties like the intimate Hazelton Hotel & mega property Fairmont Royal York (their Fairmont Gold specifically), operations deliver a far superior sense of value and a completely different league of customer relations—warm, welcoming, and entirely devoid of this elitist pretense. I eventually just gave up and took my business to a premium property that respects my time. The irony is that the food and beverage teams at d|bar and Café Boulud are excellent—professional and agile. But when core rooms management treats a pre-booking inquiry like an interrogation, the brand value proposition is completely broken. Save yourself the headache and book a modern lifestyle hotel or go where hospitality is actually valued.
