About the Hotel

Toronto’s effervescent Yorkville neighborhood is one of the city’s shining jewels. Lined with upscale boutiques, Victorian-era homes, and chic restaurants, the posh enclave still retains some of its artsy vibes—leftover from its past life as a bohemian hub for musicians. Here is where you’ll find Park Hyatt Toronto, surrounded by world-class institutions like the Royal Ontario Museum and University of Toronto-St. George Campus.

Reviews for Park Hyatt Toronto

A Winter Stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

We stayed for one night in Toronto in December, solely to visit a restaurant we loved, before travelling on to our destination. We have previously stayed at the Four Seasons, and to be completely candid had no qualms, however, stayed at the Park Hyatt due to the proximity to the aforementioned restaurant. It was an excellent stay, with spacious and bright rooms and excellent service. We would not hesitate to stay there again!

Worth every penny, great value.

Exceptional experience overall. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The Stillwater spa and Health facilities were fantastic. Enjoyed the food, and the hotel room was wonderful. We decided to upgrade our room to a corner suite at check-in, and it was worth every penny! Highly recommend.

Best Location in Toronto – Comfortable, Clean, and Worth It

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I’ve been visiting Toronto for over 25 years and usually stay downtown near the convention center, but this was my first time staying in this area in a while—and I’m so glad I did. The location is outstanding. The hotel is literally across the street from high-end shopping like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Cartier, Rolex, and more—basically Toronto’s Fifth Avenue. It’s also right across from the museum and surrounded by great restaurants. Everything is within easy walking distance, which was especially important since we were there in the winter and it was minus 14 degrees. The hotel itself is excellent. Very clean, very spacious rooms, and extremely comfortable. The bathrooms and showers are large, and they provide big bottles of high-end shampoo and conditioner—you can tell they didn’t cut corners. We visited the rooftop bar and had breakfast there. The crème brûlée French toast was very good, but definitely on the sweeter side—more like a dessert. I highly recommend it, but it’s best to share rather than order for one person. The eggs were just okay, but they did offer a nice coffee/breakfast deal, so I’d probably try something different next time. Service was great throughout our stay. The spa area is beautiful, and the layout is convenient—our room was very close to the elevator, which really helps when traveling for business. I was choosing between this hotel and the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, and I’m very happy I picked the Park Hyatt. The room rate was very reasonable for the location and quality, and absolutely worth it. If you usually stay near the harbor or downtown, I highly recommend trying this area. It’s a fantastic part of the city for shopping, dining, and convenience. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Winter Getaway

The Park Hyatt Toronto provides the quintessential Park Hyatt experience. It's luxurious, well thought out using natural materials that don't feel over the top, but of extremely high quality. It's an understated luxury that I've come to love there. It feels like an intimate oasis in the city.

Discouraging Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The management was welcoming me as a walk-in guest. They quoted me a price for a room for two nights - approx. $7k CAD. I agreed and paid the fee with a $1k extra for incidentals. To my surprise, management asked me if I needed help with my bags in the morning as I was checking out. I told them that the reservation was for two nights, not just one night and that this was agreed the night before. Then the next morning I received a bill for $15k. I told the morning manager that the rate was for two nights, not one, but they were not accommodating. I am not happy with this at all. I think the night manager should be fired for misrepresenting their fee on reservation. I would prefer that Park Hyatt Toronto do not employ this strategy to ring out another room charge. Furthermore, my phone was stolen while I was using the room - while traveling from the room to the gym, then back to the room. This was a few thousand lost (phone replacement fee), and to my understanding, had nothing to do with the manager on duty. However, the combination of getting my phone stolen and being over-charged by $7k did not not feel good. I will not be going back there or encouraging anyone to visit the Park Hyatt Toronto until they address this. I went there as an excited potential customer...I had great experiences at Park Hyatt in Zurich and I was looking forward to getting a few nights of good sleep in Toronto. When my phone went missing on the second night, I attempted to file a police report. Management gave me a number to the police. I called them from the room phone and the police department asked me to submit online. However, I didn't have a phone to file online and management didn't have a computer for me to use to file the report. The hotel assured me that they checked the cameras and would do a full investigation to help locate the phone. I invited them to check the audio, but they told me that there isn't audio recording. The phone was not found. The hotel would not give me access to their internal report. I paid with a debit card because I do not carry a credit card. I cannot dispute this with a bank or a credit card company. It seems like the hotel thought I was trying to get a second night for free, when I was not at all. I was just double-charged and then my phone went missing. The only item of mine that went missing was the phone. My wallet and other items did not go missing (thankfully). I invited the security manager to the unit to help me look for the phone and he did. The manager on duty who sold me the room did not follow up with me. I am discouraged.
