Toronto’s effervescent Yorkville neighborhood is one of the city’s shining jewels. Lined with upscale boutiques, Victorian-era homes, and chic restaurants, the posh enclave still retains some of its artsy vibes—leftover from its past life as a bohemian hub for musicians. Here is where you’ll find Park Hyatt Toronto, surrounded by world-class institutions like the Royal Ontario Museum and University of Toronto-St. George Campus.

Great location in the middle of Yorkville with convenient walking to shops and restaurants. We had booked a deluxe room and it was surprisingly spacious with lovely decor. A lot of thought was put into the room, including a tiny shelf in the shower where you could rest your leg for shaving. Always appreciate a bidet too. It was my birthday and the hotel sent up a lovely pastry and sparkling wine. Minor observations, the check-in area is a very small room which felt congested quickly and the lobby is austere with no inviting spaces for lounging. Staff was pleasant but lacking a bit of finesse. We travel to Asia frequently where service and amenities at luxury hotels are unparalleled, so take my review with a grain of salt. But overall, it was a lovely stay and we will return when we are next in Toronto.

We just returned from the Park Hyatt Toronto and I'd have to say the reviews are pretty accurate. It's a beautiful property with some highs and some lows. Overall it would be a 4.2-4.3 rating for me. The pros: Beautiful property, love the flowers in the entry and lovely signature scent Spacious rooms and nice finishes Convenient house car service fantastic location Fantastic breakfast at Joni (mostly) wonderful staff The cons: Pricey compared to other 5* properties in Toronto Fairly small lobby, the check-in area is small room to the right of the entrance Inconsistent staff experiences No globalist recognition at all No suite upgrade No space in the fridge (it's prefilled with mini-bar items) We stayed as a family of 4 and right before checking in, I saw there were several suites available (standard and premium). Upon check-in though, the staff told me that there was only a corner suite available for $250 per night. I told her I could see the suite online so she went to ask her manager who promptly said No. Ok....I didn't want to argue so we just took the standard room. We're Globalists and don't always fight for the upgrade but do expect some type of welcome amenity or note in the room. Nothing here. I mentioned it was my daughter's birthday to the concierge later that day and she was so sweet- sent up a cake, note, macarons and little raccoon stuffed animal (it had the cutest Park Hyatt bandana). The cleaning staff were equally wonderful and gave my kids extra chocolates plus a little note. Breakfast at Joni was AMAZING. My husband said it's his favorite Hyatt breakfast (other than Asia). High praise coming from a guy who's stayed everywhere from PH Paris to Alila Ventana. I think it was the crispy hashbrowns that won his heart :) Overall would I stay again? No. There are so many other 5* properties in Toronto to choose from that the Park Hyatt just isn't worth a return for us.

Upon booking, I requested a late checkout for my daughter so she would have a safe place to wait while I had surgery. They had originally given us 4pm, which we thought was amazing. Unfortunately, my surgery ran later than expected and the hotel allowed her to stay until almost 6 pm, when I was finally ready for discharge, without any additional charges. This helped us both out immensely in a very stressful time for us because she didn't have to wander the city alone with nowhere safe to wait. Very impressed with his level of compassion!

great atmosphere and perfect for productive business travel. Really had a great in-room set up to help with personal fitness & wellbeing - like a fitness app and yoga mat on the TV, plus the Headspace app to help me undwind and relax
