About the Hotel

Toronto’s effervescent Yorkville neighborhood is one of the city’s shining jewels. Lined with upscale boutiques, Victorian-era homes, and chic restaurants, the posh enclave still retains some of its artsy vibes—leftover from its past life as a bohemian hub for musicians. Here is where you’ll find Park Hyatt Toronto, surrounded by world-class institutions like the Royal Ontario Museum and University of Toronto-St. George Campus.

Good but not exceptional

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

We originally booked a corner view suite but were upgraded through the Hyatt Prive program to a deluxe corner suite. Check in: The check in process was the weakest part of our stay. We had requested an early check in but our room wasn’t ready until 3. This was understandable. However there were a few other issues at check in. The check in agent was kind but used 3 different names to address me. I would have been happy to clarify if she asked for the pronunciation. Also we weren’t given any instructions or info about our included breakfast or hotel credit. The room itself was fantastic. With a beautiful bathroom and desk. The suite was perfect for hosting while our baby slept in the bedroom. House car: The house car was nice. It was openly offered on check in and the driver was fantastic. He dropped us on in a safe area and was very patient with us and our baby. However the next day when we requested the house for pick up the front desk agent was a bit dismissive. He told us initially the car was booked but when I asked for a later time for pick up. I asked for clarification about specially where to meet the driver as this was going to be after a Blue Jays game no further info was given. In the end it seemed insane to search around the stadium for a car with no contact so we cancelled and took the train. The train was quite easy. Front doorman: The front doorman whose name I can’t recall was amazing. He was always welcome to our baby and ready to point us in the right direction. On check out we were a little tight to catch for our flight so I took my own bags down. The front desk waved goodbye but I was surprised no one offered any help with the bags. Usually most 5 star hotels will go out of their way to help with the bags. Our uber driver ended up loaded everything up for us. Overall I think this is a nice hotel but not exceptional. The location is in a nice area and the suite was excellent. The rooftop bar was a must do. The service was a bit hit or miss. Usually service is a bit more polished at most Park Hyatts I’ve been too.

3 star service for 5 star price

My stay was unfortunately not up to expectations, particularly for the price and versus other Park Hyatt’s I’ve stayed at. I would recommend you stay at the Hazelton Hotel which is across the street and is significantly nicer with better service. My room was not available for check in until 5pm. My room was not made up or cleaned the entire day on August 1, 2025 despite me being gone almost all day. I did not have do not disturb sign on door. I returned at 2am to my uncleaned room. Front desk said nothing they could do because it was too late but offered “extra towels”. Ridiculous. The staff said they would look into it the next day and didn’t follow up. Staff did not apologize or offer anything when checking out. The elevators are also super slow in this building. Won’t be back to this property and has hurt my view on Hyatt.
