Reviews for Rio Serrano Hotel + Spa

Stunning views

Beautiful views and well appointed hotel. I wish our tour company’s bonkers itinerary had allowed us to appreciate it more (we didn’t arrive until8.00pm on both nights we stayed there). It was however very busy and felt a bit impersonal. Room nice, but small. Food and service good, breakfast fine. We did the Las Torres Trek organised by the hotel. Started well but our guides fell short on the return back down. I walked most of this on my own, the guides had no idea where I was, one had gone on ahead and one was accompanying a very slow walker far behind. . On the last section there are many paths, I guessed which ones to take. I thought the point of having a guide was that they guided and knew where everyone was. All of the group except two and one guide were back at the start within 9 hours. The guides at the front did not have the keys to the minibus, he had to go back and get them (we never did get the refreshments they said they had in the bus). We waited nearly two hours for the last two walkers to arrive, we asked to be taken back to the hotel and the hotel to send extra transport to pick up the last two walkers, refused. We wanted to eat in the restaurant not the bar, there was a negotiation because the restaurant shots at 8.30 and there were no guarantees we would be back by then. The trek was amazing but the descent should have been much better run.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Rio Serrano Hotel — the room was my favorite part, with great amenities, a comfy bed and stunning views. Staff were friendly, the spa relaxing, and the bar had a nice vibe. The only drawback was the noise and loss of ambiance when large tour groups arrived, which occasionally forced us to retreat to our room. A special thank you to Romina for her outstanding support before our arrival. We’re also very grateful to Isaac from The Massif for his genuine enthusiasm and thoughtful touches—like providing knee support and hot drinks for the group. His patience and expert guidance made our hike to the Base Tower enjoyable, even though we turned back before the moraine. His encouragement, sharing, and support were invaluable and helped us finally complete the challenging 13-hour self-guided trek to Laguna de los Tres a few days later. Thank you, Isaac!

We stayed at two different rooms because the hotel was fully booked. None of our preferred rooms was available for consecutive two nights. The first room we stayed is the cheaper one, located on the fourth floor (the attic originally) has a low(er) ceiling and a smaller size but all amenities are the same to the proper ones. We could see the sky outside after pushing up the window. The second room is the proper, more expensive one(I forgot their categorization) located on the ground floor. It is noticeably bigger so feels even more comfortable and has the magnificent view of the mountains. We had dinner at the hotel's bar, whose atmosphere was relaxing, and were so content with the food that we did not find it necessary to dine at its restaurant. The breakfast was good with a variety of quality choices The spa is a big plus that we could enjoy whole day in the hotel, especially after hiking. We would have stayed at Ril Serrano Hotel+Spa if it had rooms for consecutive three nights. Having spending one night at a more expensive hotel in the park, we found Ril Serrano Hotel+Spa value for money.

Stunning location - and easy to get to (from Puerto Natales)

The hotel was absolutely stunning! Easy to get to from Puerto Natales and just before the National Park entrance. The service was excellent and the food was so delicious. Room was very comfortable and facilities were fantastic.

Best hotel

The hotel and staff are extraordinary. Best hotel visit so far. Everyone are super helpful. We regret not having taken all the tours with them. Just the view from the hotel and the surrounding is breathtaking.
