Savoia Excelsior Palace

A truly beautiful hotel in the premier location in Trieste. This is our second stay in the hotel and it is as good as ever. Bedrooms are beautifully appointed, with every comfort you could need and stunning views over Trieste bay. Staff are a little reserved, not overly friendly, but always kind and helpful where needed. If you plan to visit Trieste, this is absolutely the best place to stay!

Without a doubt, the best hotel in the Friuli region. An impeccably maintained property, with flawless rooms offering breathtaking sea views. The breakfast is excellent and perfectly complements the overall experience. While the rates may be higher during certain periods of the year, the quality and atmosphere fully justify the price. A place we would gladly return to.

Great located, nice spacious rooms with views on the sea; palace Hôtel as it should be; excellent service; may be some things could or should be reviewed though.. sad that there is no spa / sauna .. fitness outdated and incomplete .. restaurant could be a bit better .. but all in all probably the best around

Very nice hotel, ideally located right in front of the cruise terminal. A little expensive but worth an overnight between cruises. The staff were all excellent and friendly.

Overall a very comfortable place, in a fantastic location, with beautiful sea views from the Deluxe rooms. Service was somewhat patchy (e.g. nothing happened when we reported a broken toilet in our room), sometimes friendly and at other times less so, and the restaurant staff were a bit confused about gluten-free. These are minor issues but I mention them as they shouldn’t really happen in a 5-star hotel.
