IBEROSTAR Grand Hotel Trinidad

We had a wonderful stay at Iberostar Grand Trinidad as part of our honeymoon and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The hotel itself is beautiful, the room was extremely comfortable and everything was well maintained. Although power outages was frequent in the city during our stay, the hotel was well prepared with generators. What truly made the difference, though, was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly, professional and genuinely helpful throughout our stay. We had a stressful moment when we forgot our passports and some money in the room safe after checking out, but the team handled it perfectly, they secured everything safely. Even after we left Trinidad, the hospitality didn’t end there. When we changed our mind and decided to return to Trinidad, the hotel team quickly arranged our transfer back to Trinidad and also organized our departure transportation to Havana. The communication was excellent from start to finish and we always felt supported. A special thanks to Ilen and all the staff for the outstanding assistance and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Trinidad, it’s not just a beautiful place to stay, but a team that truly cares about its guests.

Traveling from Havana to Trinidad, I spent two nights at this hotel and from the first moment, it felt like a good choice.🚕 The welcome at reception was friendly and sincere, and immediately created a comfortable atmosphere. It felt more personal than a typical hotel stay. The hotel is well designed and pleasant. My room was comfortable, well equipped, and kept very clean throughout the stay, with clear attention to detail. In the evenings, the bar was a great place to relax. The atmosphere was easygoing, and the cocktails were well made and balanced. Unfortunately, I left without properly saying goodbye to the lady who prepared the best drink in the house🍹hopefully our paths will cross again☺️ The dining area offers a good variety, and meals were consistently enjoyable. Leaving felt a little too soon. This is a place I would gladly return to in the future. Thank you to the team for a well-organized and memorable stay.

We have separately reviewed the hotel restaurant, which after writing in excess of 1400 reviews was the first time I have ever given 1 blob. The hotel, however is very good. It is overlooking a plaza known locally as the ‘social plaza’ as this is where locals congregate to catch up. It’s a lively and vibrant place, with loads of charm. The reception area and lobby are a pleasant place to relax, the decor colonial and the fountain a real focal point. Our room was lovely, very spacious with loads of storage, a good mini bar with non alcoholic choices as well as a couple of beers and light snacks. A ginormous bed with crisp linens and very comfortable pillows. The bathroom was a really good size, a huge walk in shower (sadly with not great water pressure), lots of space for lotions and potions and a really good hairdryer. Our housemaid Ilemena was delightful, always smiling and can do some very inventive things with net curtains! The only reason we have taken 1 blob off is in relation to the wi-fi which only worked in the reception area and at times was difficult to connect too. A Spanish hotel chain such as this really should be able to provide wi-fi in the bedrooms, it is a must these days.

Best place to stay in Trinidad. A lovely hotel with great staff. The foot is a little pricey for what it is, but the food outside in Trinidad is amazing so just skip the hotel after breakfast time

I was here wit my wife and an educational travel group from the United States. The staff of the hotel is very friendly and will bend over backwards to help you. The location is very central, in the heart of Trinidad, with much to see and do close by. The rooms are large and well appointed, with a safe in the closet. The room also had a large terrace overlooking a plaza.
