Such a beautiful property with the most amazing employees. Everyone is so kind and attentive, the property is pristine and the amenities are great! There are ample chairs at the pool or beach to lounge at. They also offer lots of different workout classes - I took yoga and a spin class with Juan which were both fantastic. The spa was also next level. They ask you to come an hour before your treatment for a series of pools and plunges, definitely worth it. The kids club is great, our child is normally shy and would prefer to stay with us but ended up making friends and requesting to go to the kids club everyday. Would definitely recommend and definitely come back.

We were told upon arrival that a private event bought out the hotel after our final day. This would be absolutely no issue except they started to drain the beautiful pool at the heart of the property. We are currently day two of our six day trip and it has been filled with sounds of hammering and giant mess to look at. They offered zero compensation for completely ruining the tranquil vibe I can only imagine the resort would have had. If someone wants to buy out a resort that’s fine, but don’t let the preparations spoil the vacation of the current paying guests.

Returning from vacation, we found ourselves unusually reflective in composing this review. The resort itself is undeniably beautiful and lives up to its luxury positioning. From the seamless hotel arranged transportation to the moment we arrived at our room, the service was polished and attentive. (For context, we flew into Cancun to take advantage of non-stop flights- the transfer to the resort is approximately 1–1.5 hours depending on traffic.) Our accommodations in Building 5 were exceptional—spotless, well-appointed, and offering a stunning view. My husband noted it was his favorite room across all our travels. Cart transportation is available from all the buildings. We found the ocean-side walk is quite pleasant and short also. For those seeking a quieter stay, we recommend requesting a building further from the main areas, as we did. Despite the presence of seasonal seaweed, the staff worked diligently each day to maintain the beach and preserve the guest experience. Service during the first part of our stay was excellent. Taina at Arbolea provided thoughtful breakfast recommendations, and our server at Autor (whose name we unfortunately did not catch) guided us to outstanding menu selections. Daniel and Vanessa, our pool cabana concierges, went above and beyond to make my birthday celebration special and ensure we enjoyed our days at the pool. We also appreciated the attentive pool food & drink service from Sebastian and Jorge, the detailed room care and birthday decorations from Eisi, and the service from Gustavo at Maratea. We were pleased to discover that the resort now offers daily activities - which many prior reviews said were not available. While not initially communicated, they can be accessed via the QR code on the bracelet. We particularly enjoyed the cultural experiences, including a workshop where we created a traditional Mexican doll to take home. We also visited the spa, which we would recommend. The treatments themselves were excellent. However, there was a scheduling mix-up that resulted in my husband and me being placed at different times. Additionally, my husband's hydrotherapy experience was fully guided step-by-step, whereas mine lacked the same level of instruction, which created some inconsistency. Toward the latter part of our seven-day stay, the level of service declined. Basic in-room items such as coffee cups and drinkware were not consistently replenished in-room, requiring follow-up requests. On multiple occasions, poolside orders did not arrive after extended waits, requiring us to visit the bar/restaurant ourselves to order. On my birthday, after requesting a dessert "to go" since I was full - I was told no. Seating at Arbolea was also inconsistent, as some guests seated themselves while others waited to be assigned tables, often limiting access to preferred outdoor seating to those individuals who followed instructions. While a multitude of pools - there are no pools designated adult-only. Sometimes, there was a lack of pool etiquette - On multiple occasions, a large, loud group disrupted the atmosphere (group of 14 allowed to rent 1 cabana, blocked an entire pool entrance, had speaker and play their own music at main pool). In an effort to avoid this, we reserved a more secluded cabana the following day, unfortunately that more secluded cabana resulted in a lot of afternoon sun. When we attempted to create shade using towels, we were asked to remove them as it did not align with the resort’s aesthetic, which was disappointing given the additional cost of the cabana and the lack of alternative solutions. To the staff’s credit, it appeared that the resort may have been understaffed during peak occupancy periods. Service levels were noticeably higher earlier in the week when the property was less busy. We booked this stay through an all-inclusive offer. Unfortunately, we felt that once this was identified, the level of service diminished despite our continued cash gratuities to the specific staff members. Additionally, items not included in the package were priced at a premium. For example, even with an all-inclusive discount, we paid approximately $150 USD additional for a mediocre steak at Maratea, and a low-tier bottle of wine through room service was priced at $145 USD. When considering the overall cost relative to the experience, the value did not align with expectations. Comparable or superior experiences could likely be found elsewhere at a similar or lower price point. In summary, while the property itself is beautiful and certain aspects of service were outstanding, inconsistencies—particularly later in our stay—impacted the overall experience.

We stayed at the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya from Friday afternoon to Sunday, and it was exactly the kind of reset we needed. After just a couple of days soaking up the sun by the peaceful, palm-lined pools and listening to the waves crashing just steps away, I left feeling completely recharged. While it’s a resort, it truly has the feel of a boutique luxury hotel—beautifully designed spaces, a calm atmosphere, and incredible attention to detail throughout. One of the highlights for me was the food. I was especially impressed by the variety of vegan and plant-based options available at every restaurant—something you don’t always find done this well. The activities program really stood out and added something unique to the experience. The workshops were a perfect way to break up the day, get out of the sun for a bit, and connect with other guests. They felt both fun and therapeutic. During our stay, we decorated ceramic jewelry trays, made macramé coasters, painted magnets, created smudge sticks, and even participated in an oracle reading session. It made the whole weekend feel more meaningful, and I loved being able to take home little souvenirs we created ourselves. The entertainment team was also incredibly friendly and made every activity enjoyable. The kids club was another huge highlight. The activities kept the kids fully engaged—they were constantly excited to go back and couldn’t stop talking about what they had learned during storytelling sessions and the crafts they made. It gave us the perfect balance between quality family time by the pool and some quiet moments to relax, knowing they were having a great time. We were lucky with the weather, which allowed us to fully enjoy everything the resort has to offer. The kids also loved ordering room service and stopping by the coffee shop throughout the day for ice cream and brownies—little moments that made the trip even more special. Overall, it was a memorable family weekend and a truly rejuvenating getaway. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious escape with a touch of Tulum’s charm.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya and overall had a wonderful experience. The property itself is absolutely stunning — the architecture blends beautifully with the surrounding jungle and everything feels modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Our room was large, comfortable, and very well appointed, with a great terrace and a beautiful bathroom. Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping everything spotless throughout our stay. The pools and beach areas were highlights of the property. There are several pools so it never felt overcrowded, and the beach club had a great atmosphere. Service throughout the resort was excellent — the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Food was very good overall, and breakfast in particular had a great selection and quality. There were just a couple of small things that felt out of place for a resort of this caliber. The black pool and beach loungers are quite basic — they’re uncushioned and not particularly comfortable. At a luxury property like this, upgraded cushioned loungers would make a big difference in the overall experience. Another minor downside is that the TVs in the rooms don’t have the ability to connect to Netflix or other streaming services. Most newer hotels offer this capability, so it was a little surprising that it wasn’t available. That said, these are relatively small issues in what was otherwise a fantastic stay. The property is beautiful, the service is excellent, and we would absolutely consider returning. The staff were all amazing. Here are some names in particular: Jorge, Demitrio, Damien and Jesus at the pool and beach were all amazing. Hector at the beach bar made the most incredible and creative cocktails Roussel at Maratea served is twice and was so incredible. Ana at Cafetal always had a smile every morning while preparing my coffee. Itzel and Ricky at the concierge were next level professional. Gloria (housekeeping) was as sweet as can be. Claudia at the bellhop area was always so pleasant on the rides back to the room. Irlanda from in-house reservations was so helpful in booking our stay. I was hoping to meet her while we were there, but unfortunately it didn’t happen. She is an angel. We got the opportunity to meet Wilmer the general manager and he is such an asset to the hotel. You can tell he really takes care of the hotel as if it’s his own. The Conrad Tulum is lucky to have him. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return one day. Highly Recommended!
